The revolutionary Dimplex smart baseboard heater features a built-in electronic thermostat with heat proportioning for improved efficiency and reduced energy consumption. Equipped with CONNEX RF technology, this baseboard can be controlled wirelessly from a distance using one of the Dimplex CONNEX controllers (not included). Its small size permits more flexibility and versatility for room layout and furniture placement. The shark fin blade design allows for top heat discharge improving performance and product life.

I call the company It should be writen that occures. dont buy because you will have to paint to get ride of the black stipes on the wall

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kitchen Heater Heats up my 10 x 14 kitchen up like a champ. I like to leave it set at 70° auto and I find myself only turning it down on warm days. Also it turns itself off when my oven is on because I have it on auto. When spring came around I shut it off from the breaker box so not to have any accidental turn ins during the summer. I've had it a year now and this is the start of my 2nd winter with it and I can't be happier. buying 2 more today. one for the infamous freezing backroom and one for the rec room.

The only thing that I would do differently with the single pole thermostat is to make the markings on the knob easier to see.

When facing the heater what side is the wiring on the back. Left or right

The smart baseboards are pre-wired to use the right side. The left side can be used as a junction and the wires can be run under the unit to use the left side.

How do I choose the correct wattage for a smart baseboard heater for the rooms? How do I choose the correct wall thermostat for the baseboard heater? Do these products work with Alexa? Thanks

Can this heater be wired from either the left or right side of the heater?

Good day Alicat, All Smart Baseboards must have the final connected from the right side of the heater. The left hand end of the enclosure can be used as a junction box and the space under the heater can be used as a wire-way.

I purchased this heater to keep a cold room at a consistent temp over the winter.  Unit will not go below 8 degrees celsius, is there a way I can over ride this I would like the temp at 5 degrees c. for my potatoes etc.

Can this heater be turned off on the unit? I can only turn mine down or do I have to turn off the breaker each time?

These heaters have single-pole thermostats meaning that they have a low setting but no off. So they will not provide heat at the lowest setting unless the room temperature drops to about 5 degrees C.

I want to replace an old unit with a Dimplex and connect it to the wall thermostat that already controls the other b-board heater in the same room. Can I do this or do I have to buy a new thermostat and 2 new units?

Colette, You can do that as long as the thermostat and circuit can support the additional amp draw. You would need to see how many amps the breaker is and the max wattage the thermostat supports. In that case, we'd suggest you use this baseboard heater instead as it does not have a built-in thermostat. https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.1000w-linear-convector-baseboard-heater-in-white.1000709848.html You will also need to make sure that you wire the heaters in parallel and not in series.
