Seems nice enough but limited instructions.Just to clarify, the instructions are very limited, to say the least. There are no assembly diagrams, no installation instructions for placing it into a cabinet. The only installation instructions are for mounting it on a wall while the design (front discharge) begs to be mounted in a cabinet. BEWARE - The remote only turns the entire unit on or off and gives no option for running the "flames" without the heat. That has to be done on the side of the unit. I will mount this in our rv but not yet certain what method I will use. I have a cabinet that is meant for an electric fireplace and it has another door next to it that will facilitate turning the heat on and off so I may do that but I may opt to simply use it as a freestanding unit and strap it down when traveling. I bought this on the brand reputation and the fact that Dimplex is the number one supplier of "fireplaces to the rv industry". As you may have noticed there is not much information about this unit....anywhere online. The remote is an fm transmitter so you do not need "line of sight" and it has a range of up to 50' so it should work throughout the rv. I am a bit disappointed but will keep it because I think it will look awesome in our new rv and it puts out a good amount of heat to take the chill off a cool night, but there is no thermostat so keep the remote near.
