Rated 2 out of 5 by from surprised I purchased this vacuum 4 years ago. It gets used weekly to vacuum our tile floors only. Not used on carpeting as we have multiple upright vacuums for carpeting. While it cleaned just fine for 4 years, it just stopped all together the other day. No warning, just dead. I'm surprised at this. We had another that lasted at least 12 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dust bin poor design Cleaning out the dust bin is a pain. The cylinder thingy that catches all the lint and hair has to be pulled out everyday and the stuff pulled off it. After a while it doesn't go back in right and so it doesn't stay in place. I just discovered that the last time I dumped the guck, the cylinder fell out and I can't find it. I can't find a replacement either, so I guess I am SOOL. The suction is still good but without that little thing it has to be emptied out every time you use it and sometimes more (if you have hairy dogs like I do). I absolutely WON'T buy a new vacuum just to get that one part, and I absolutely won't buy this one again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful Canister Wanted to get a canister after having another brand upright that the exterior broke too easily. Very powerful and I like the customizable suction power. So far, I'm loving this. Only thing I don't care for is the hose. It doesn't bend enough. Too stiff.

I have been using the Dirt Devil for many years and is a great product. But.......I don't like the fact that I have all these great attachments and cannot use them when I change to a new one. I have the floor micro fiber pad for hardwood floors which I use quite often and paid for the extra and now it does not work with my new vacuum,
