Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will get it corrected so that all information is in agreement. This includes (3) 8 ft sections, 3 5/16" from top to bottom, the top lip sits 1" over the top of the dock.

Can you install such that the top is on the same plane as the bottom. If not, what do you recommend where line cleats are installed on the top edge of the deck.

Hello, i would suggest using a side mount profile to avoid the issue, such as the heavy D profile. As well, the profile can be cut to fit into place.
