Our plumber recommended re-caulking each year to prevent leaks and to keep the shower looking new. According to the manufacturer, it should take less than an hour to install the base and walls. However, it took a professional plumber three hours to install the shower base and walls. For the DYI persons, i would recommend hiring a contractor or plumber because cutting and fitting for walls and constructing doors is necessary. If a plumber recommends liquid nails to apply the shower walls, please do not hire him or her.

The Acrylic wall panels carry a 1 year warranty. Modifying the acrylic panels to fit a window will void that warranty. Should you decide to move forward with a window installation, we advise that you caulk well around the joints to prevent any leaking behind the panel. Please help. We have a two hundred year old house. The bathroom space is very limited. We framed in the bathroom and thought it was square. Not. When we slid the base into the shower space, there is a gap of about 1/2 inch between the outside corner of the base and the greenboard. How do we fill in that gap so we can apply the sidewall?
