Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Door for the money This is a great door for the money. We bought ours at 10% off, around 400 USD. The first one that arrived was the wrong size, we ordered a 26in and they shipped us a 28in in a 26in labelled box. HD was great about resolving that. After we got it settled, we got the 26. The issue is that they company never provides tolerances on the opening dimesnions, they just say 26in. when all the tile was on, our opening was 25.75 in. The door did not fit into our opening. after talking with the company, they stated that the opening should ne 26 to 26.25 in. This would have been good to know when framing it out. In any case, we recessed the hinges by cutting holes into the tile for them. this worked well and the door fits great and looks beautiful.

Product is almostaperfect just what I was looking for, highlights my bathroom. Thick piece of glass with durable hardware. The chrome finish is a great touch I bought 2 to compliment my shower. My only dislike would be that they don't provide enough of the seal strip for the top of the door and the door stops could be thicthi especially for the larger doors, I purchased a 27" and a 26" on the 27" door when it swung close it almost rippedripp the stopping strip. Had the doors for 1 week.

I am not a contractor or home builder but very handy with doing home stuff. I decided rather than paying someone to get and install the door I would do it myself. Along with my son-in-law, we installed in a little over an hour, and that included drilling into tile. The door and hinges are exquisite and completely changed the way the shower entrance looks. Good instructions, great packing. This is a two person job! Follow the instructions to the letter and you can't go wrong.

About a year and a half ago I purchased 4 frameless glass door units. The design, engineering and quality is superb. I was having a bit of trouble a year later getting the beefy clear plastic door stop to stay adhered to the subway tile on the jamb. I called for advise and they brainstormed the perfect solution and sent me four new strips just in case I needed them. Great product, great service, great company.

The door arrived in perfect condition and I actually installed it by myself. I would not recommend a one person install because the door is very heavy and bulky to handle by yourself. You must be very careful not to even "tap" the door on any hard object, like the tilework or floor. It installed just perfectly though, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Along with the custom cabinets I also installed, this door really makes the bathroom look very modern and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase any products this company makes, the diminsions noted by the purchase order were exact and the instructions for the installation were very clear and precise. This company makes a quality product, it will not disappoint you!

The hinges and glass are both top quality and I found it fairly easy to install myself although I did need someone to hold it for me while I screwed it to the wall. The doors add a touch of class to my showers and guests have commented on how they wish they had doors like mine.

I give myself a "B+" on the installation, My door is about 1/8" out of plumb, I needed two use two spacers on the bottom hinge and didn't realize it until I after I had everything completed. The only thing I would change on the hardware is the inside of the handle. I wish it was more than just the small knob.

We are so happy with the look of the door when we first open the parkage, but when we try to install it there comes the problems... the screws that come with the door is in such poor quality that the head of 2 of them was borken off in the middle of getting in the wall. They are now just 2 sad little stobs that we don't even know how to remove... Very dispointed...

Is the chrome version frameless or "semi-framed"?

The brushed nickel version of this door is listed as "frameless". However, the chrome version (which I am interested in) of the same door is listed as "semi-framed". Can you please confirm that the chrome version is also frameless (like the brushed nickel version just with different hardware)? It looks like it in the pictures but I thought I'd ask before placing the order. Thank you!

The 26" Unidoor single panel door requires a finished, tile to tile opening of 26" to 26-1/8" wide. You cannot be under 26" at any point, or over 26-1/8". The DreamLine Unidoor 26" Shower Door is meant to fit an opening that is 26" wide only. This door is completely frameless, and therefore has no ability to adjust for any additional width. The DreamLine Elegance shower door (model # SHDR-4125720-04) would fit your opening, however. You can place that model number in the Home Depot search field and it will come up for you.
