DreamLine customer service was excellent in insuring correct door for my application and also excellent when replacement parts that were needed due to my self mistakes. Stainless steel screws provided are a softer grade of stainless so they will never rust and the philips head has a tendency to strip easily if your not careful. Went with this door even though opening and walls were not perfect but close enough. Door opening is towards the end of a rectangular shower opposite of shower head so water spray on the door is non existence. Did not want to loose width of opening with rails on both sides on a door that would be recommend for a not plum wall or consistence opening width. Would highly recommend door.

I am not a contractor or home builder but very handy with doing home stuff. I decided rather than paying someone to get and install the door I would do it myself. Along with my son-in-law, we installed in a little over an hour, and that included drilling into tile. The door and hinges are exquisite and completely changed the way the shower entrance looks. Good instructions, great packing. This is a two person job! Follow the instructions to the letter and you can't go wrong.

About a year and a half ago I purchased 4 frameless glass door units. The design, engineering and quality is superb. I was having a bit of trouble a year later getting the beefy clear plastic door stop to stay adhered to the subway tile on the jamb. I called for advise and they brainstormed the perfect solution and sent me four new strips just in case I needed them. Great product, great service, great company.

The door was easy to install, solid heavy door and the chrome finish was perfect for my bathroom. My only issues are that the door stop really isn't sturdy enough it's the adhesive tape so if someone swings the door close it rips the stop right off a painted wall. A drilled option would be better or a thicker version of the door stop would help especially with bigger doors I bought a 72Hx27w. Also the screws are pretty cheap and grind out easily. I suggest pre drilling then use the provided screws.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really an Excellent Glass Shower Door I bought this 26" X 72" glass shower door for my recent master bath remodel. The door arrived in perfect condition and I actually installed it by myself. I would not recommend a one person install because the door is very heavy and bulky to handle by yourself. You must be very careful not to even "tap" the door on any hard object, like the tilework or floor. It installed just perfectly though, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Along with the custom cabinets I also installed, this door really makes the bathroom look very modern and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase any products this company makes, the diminsions noted by the purchase order were exact and the instructions for the installation were very clear and precise. This company makes a quality product, it will not disappoint you!

The hinges and glass are both top quality and I found it fairly easy to install myself although I did need someone to hold it for me while I screwed it to the wall. The doors add a touch of class to my showers and guests have commented on how they wish they had doors like mine.

I give myself a "B+" on the installation, My door is about 1/8" out of plumb, I needed two use two spacers on the bottom hinge and didn't realize it until I after I had everything completed. The only thing I would change on the hardware is the inside of the handle. I wish it was more than just the small knob.

Unfortunately, with an opening of 26-3/4", we can not recommend either of these doors for your opening. One is too big and the other is too small. DreamLine does make the Elegance shower door which would work perfectly for you. The model number for the Elegance is SHDR-4125720 and it has the ability to adjust for your width that you need. Another option is to have the Unidoor panel made through DreamLine's Custom Glass Group in the size needed for your opening. Unfortunately, your opening is in-between the opening sizes for the single panel Unidoor. Neither the 27" or the 28" door will work for you. The 27" door will be too small and the 28" door will be too big for your opening. is the door 180 degree or just 90? if it is 180, is there a center detent, so it stays at the center position? The latter is what I need for my shower

there is not a center stop. The instructions say it is factory set to only close to 85 degrees. Mine opens out to 180, but swings in to about 30. They told me to use the plastic strip as a stop.

The 27" Unidoor Shower door is designed to work with an opening 27" to 27-1/8" at the maximum. With that extra 1/8", you may find that the door does not close securely against the L-shaped strip that is attached to the wall. Double check your finished measurements at the top, middle, and bottom with a metal tape measure to verify your measurements. What is the mechanism which prevents the door from swinging inwards if i only want it to swing outward. Is there a latch or extra piece to attach to the end of the wall opposite the hinges?

There is an L-shaped rigid vinyl strike strip that has very high bond adhesive on one side. This strip will stick to your wall and the door glass will close against this strike vinyl strip.
