Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great door - few tips included in review! Beautiful door. You do need to wipe it after each shower if you want it to stay clean and crisp however. I use a dry norwex window cloth and it looks amazing once it’s dry! Slides nicely. Install was somewhat lengthy but mostly only to ensure all is done properly. Make sure to silicone all around. We skipped the outside thinking it wouldn’t go thru but the next morning there was a little bit of water on the floor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed Installed a few months ago and am really happy with this product. Have specified another Dreamline door for a client as a result. Solid door and slides beautifully. I installed part of it (the frames) and let the contractor deal with the doors as there are very heavy. Not difficult if you are a bit handy as you may need to cut the bottom and top rail to fit so will need to tools to do that.

My only complaint would be that I was hard-pressed to move it from my doorstep. I could only do that by unwrapping it on the porch and brining it inside piece by piece - which worked fine. I would opt for delivery again, hands down.

Nice thick glass, smooth rolling, won’t leak unless you spray it directly with a handheld sprayer in the corners, and looks sharp! Install was a little complicated because you have to cut down the top and bottom tracks to fit your tub and leaving a nice finished edge takes quite a bit of care. But other than that it went quite smoothly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Approved... with tips and tricks. I recommend this product. I installed this system by myself for a client here in Prince George BC yesterday. I was very satisfied with the outcome. It is a good quality product and the install went as expected. The instructions were decent, but as you can expect, most contractors would add bits and pieces here and there. The 1.5 hour install time suggested is achievable if you're installing it in perfect conditions (everything level and square) and if it is your 10th install of the identical product. Realistically... do it slower and take care in every step. Give yourself 4-5 hours overall, including prepping for the project, setting up your work space, doing the install, and the cleanup. Plan which type of caulking you will be using. Have a small piece of 1" board on hand as you will need it. Use the best tile drill bits you can afford and have an extra on hand. The doors are heavy, so if you are unsure of your ability to do this alone, hire a pro. Bill M. Your Local Handyman Inc

This was easy to install though used 3 people to install upper track and doors. Doors operate very well, no leaks, and easy to clean.

Just installed the door. We love it. However we are getting some minor water splashing under the door and over the metal rail on the bottom that hits the floor. The inside door is closest to the shower head. Any suggestions on how to reduce splashing?

Can this type of door set up be installed on a one piece tub and wall enclosure set up. In other words the frame be mounted to the tub enclosure?

All DreamLine shower/tub doors and enclosures require smooth, solid finished walls, true 90° angles where the wall meets the threshold, and finished walls that are at least as tall as the shower/tub door or enclosure. If the walls of your fiberglass enclosure have any give or flex to them when you push on the wall, most likely there is a pocket of dead space behind the wall and the wall is not solid. Can these doors be used with a Mirolin Belaire tub?

The Encore tub doors require 90° walls there the wall meets the tub deck, tub decking of at least 2-1/4" wide, and drilling into your tub for proper installation. is this door suitable for a an acrylic shower (Mirolin or Maax) ?

Unfortunately, no - DreamLine shower doors, tub doors, and shower enclosures are not designed for installation into molded acrylic/fiberglass shower surrounds and should not be installed into these types of openings because doing this will void the warranty and compromise the product. All DreamLine shower/tub doors and enclosures require solid finished walls (no pocket of dead space behind the wall), true 90-degree angles where the wall meets the threshold (corners cannot have a radius or curve), and finished walls that are at least as tall as the shower/tub door or enclosure (so that none of the glass or hardware sticks up above the walls). Will the installation of this door work(does not leak) regardless of which wall the shower head is located? Some doors have to be installed so that the door opens on the same side of the shower head, we need ours to open on the other side.
