Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks nice but poor quality The first thing I noticed upon removing from box was that the support pillars underneath the pan were less rigid than the ones on the pan that I had just removed from the old bathroom. I liked the look of it and put aside my doubts and installed it as instructed and perfectly level.......after the whole job was done and the initial shower was taken I discovered that the water pools AWAY from the drain hole. The tile is up and the job is done and I'm stuck with using a squeegee to push the water to the drain

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Size hard to find This size of base was difficult to find without purchasing an entire shower enclosure kit. I ordered online and it arrived in less time than expected. Installed as usual with "cemented" base. Tiled walls and installed custom, frameless shower walls/door. Customer very happy.

Can this base be installed on existing basement floor or does it need morter under base

You can install the DreamLine SlimLine shower base on a basement floor, but you will need to use the required bed of mortar as outlined in the installation manual for the shower base. Your attached Manual only includes the cover sheet. What are the dimensions for the drain location?

Sorry about the link to the manual. We are working to correct that. The manual does not include the technical drawing, however. The technical drawing that you need is among the thumb nail photos on the web page for this shower door. The center of the shower drain is 12" by 12" off of the corner of the shower base.
