What are the minimum required threshold height and width if building a custom tiled threshold? What should the outside dimensions of the threshold be?

The height of the threshold does not matter - you could actually even install this model in a zero-curb style shower. The depth of the threshold (width measurement from front-to-back) is something you will need to consider because all the hardware will need to fit up onto the curbs of the base. For this model, the minimum threshold depth requirement is only 5/8". As for construction of your shower base and outer dimension requirements, we do not provide any guidelines for this. The dimensions we provide for all of our models are for finished openings, so for this model, the layout has dimensions that are 60"(w) x 30-3/8"(d). Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!
