It works ok, but in the end it could not handle the difficult tasks of finesse on even a mildly hard wood. Yet, it seems to cover some jobs alright. As usual, get the right tool for the job. I should have used a proper router meant for tougher jobs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Limited usr I used the plunge router guide to cut out door hinges. As I moved it across the edge of the door it would drop and cut deeper. There was no way to support it over the 3 1/2 inch cut.

Does a great job make shallow passes. Working on wood art projects that require finer cutting than a regular router. Trying the remove about 3/4" of stock, and have to do it in about 2-3 passes. A 1/4" at a time.

I bought one of these with high expectations because it was said to work with my model but I could not get it to work. I have an older model 250 and no matter what I did, I only got it to work one time. I don't know if it was defective or what, but even after spending time with Dremel customer support, I just couldn't get it to seat in the attachment stably enough to use. Maybe other models will have an easier time of it, but it didn't work for me.
