Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design Had to return this due to poor craftsmanship. The plastic tabs on the side are manufactured of the cheapest available plastic and will crack upon insertion when following manufacturer's directions due to being warped. I do not recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY This is complete and utter junk. The handles that are supposed to attach to the framing flakes off like a cracker and breaks as you try to install it. Do not waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design and manufacturing The brackets that secure the main housing to the wall studs are designed to slide and lock onto the main housing using tabs for alignment. On three of the four brackets that came with my unit, the tabs were curved, preventing the brackets from connecting properly, and there was excess plastic moulding that caused two of the brackets to break. Also of note, while the brackets provide 1/2" of space for wall sheathing to be installed overtop and align with the front of the main housing, the in-wall vent connector sits 1/4" closer to the front of the main housing, meaning it interferes with the wall sheathing. This product needs to be redesigned and provided a better manufacturing process.

How deep does your wall need to be?

My walls are only 4 inch recessed.... venting to roof. How can I do this? My vent is exposed from ceiling to dryer. :(
Asked by: Jvprn
The recessed dryer vent box has an oval attachment at the top; it is possible to squeeze the pipe so it easily fits in to the adapter and tapers back to it's regular round shape.

Use a flexible 4” and it’ll fit around the oval. Just zip tie is down as always.

Is there recessed box for the washer too?

Asked by: MAC
I have seen people/plumbers use the recessed boxes to funnel their tubing through the vent holes. obviously would make sure to secure it in place after you're sure it isn't leaking.

were does the lint go

Asked by: carol
If done (vented) correctly it goes up into the oval, through the metal vent shaft, and to where ever your pipes / venting system leads. Ideally outside through a window or a hole in your wall created to vent the lint.
