Hello. Could you use this on the inside of a small polycarbonate greenhouse to help insulate. Do you need a vapor barrier? Can it handle higher humidity that is inside greenhouse?

    Asked by: hasty22
Yes you can use it inside a green house to help insulate. It is unsure whether you would need a vapour barrier, as this isn't a use there is any documentation on.

:Looking to use on exterior of a new construction shop as a thermal break. If seams are taped, is a house wrap still required? If so, does the wrap go over or under the rigid foam?

    Asked by: Brent
National Building Code does require a layer of house wrap but you can check with your local building inspector. We do not recommend you tape any above grade exterior applications to avoid a double vapor barrier.

I want to use as sound insulation under my metal roofing. Will screwing thru it corrupt the material ? Using 1 1/2 gasketed roofing screws and tar paper between foam and metal roofing material. Will it deaden the noise ?

    Asked by: CrazyScotsman
It will not corrupt the material and will provide some sound barrier but this is not a sound proofing material.

Is this waterproof, i.e can this Rigid foam be left in the rain before use?

    Asked by: Karl
Yes it can remain in the rain before use. It is not waterproof it is water resistant. If water is absorbed it will dry and be the exact same as before it was wet.

I would like to know if i can insulate my shed with that instead of regular insulation.

    Asked by: Timon
You can use DuroFoam for this application but to meet code requirements you need to drywall or cover with plywood or OSB.
