Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Batch...maybe? I have used these before with no issue but for some reason all of these pulled out of the Drywall as I was putting the screws in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Try something else The screws don’t turn inside the metal anchor. I applied a little pressure to get them to screw in and now have lovely huge holes in my drywall.

Can these be used for a hollow core door? I am looking to mount an over-the-door closet pantry.

Asked by: Manny
Zinc EZ-Ancors could be used in a hollow core door, only if used in the portion of the door which is solid through. Typically this solid area is around the perimeter and near the knob. If you are unsure where these portions of your door begin and end, please note, it will not hold if in the hollow sections. You may wish to test before installing the anchor. That said, this anchor is designed for drywall and into stud applications, so be very careful you do not damage the door facing on installation. Good luck with your project!

What is the difference between this item vs. the plastic version?

Asked by: ml523
The plastic ones split at the end when you drive the screw into it giving them a little more hold hence the higher lbs rating. The metal ones are much sturdier and able to be used even if you hit a stud, they don’t split at the end though so they technically hold a little less. I prefer the metal ones as I find the plastic ones break too easliy.
