Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stool for a step up or sitting down This was an impulse purchase. We have a variety of ladders and step stools that we use frequently. This may replace some lighter duty step stools because it will fold fairly flat to fit into a hall closet. We have found it very useful as intended as a very sturdy stool but also as a seat for getting into low cabinets and outside lawn and garden. It will fit into a plastic bag to keep the feet clean outside. The handle is helpful to rise from a sitting position.

We were using a plastic two step to help them, but that took up a lot of storage space when not in use. This one step ladder was perfect for the job. It folds flat and the one step is all that is needed.

I also wanted a base to stand on that is larger than a step ladder step, so I would be unlikely to fall off. It is rated for a 200 lb person. However, I am 240 lbs and it holds me very stably. Easy to open and close..

This stool is the perfect answer because it doesn't take up much space, and is very stable and well built . The handle and step have non-slip rubber so it is very safe. I just love this little stool.
