I ate a lot of saw dust with that chainsaw and i presently own 2 of them. For the last 10 years that is the saw i have used to cut my 6 annual cord of wood. If you want to put a 16 in. bar, it gives you about 10% more power...... so almost like a 45cc. Above that, add---Quality + Good Price + Light weight + Reliable + Easy to work on + Trouble free if used with common sense....Don t hesitate---- I HIGHLY RECOMMAND that product--WITH NO HESITATION .......Thanks HD for their courtesy service.... and to stand behind their product......

Bought this model at Home Depot and read the instructions and the manual. It started easy, cut easy,and is lightweight. So no issues. I had a fire just like a NS.

Lighter and easier to use than my older Pioneer Farmsaw.Just because it does not come with a bottle of bar oil does not make this saw deserve a poor rating as the previous reviewer stated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warranty with Home Depot I already had an Echo chainsaw for 32 years,so I am a fan of course there are things that get dirty or wear out. It is all a learning curve. After doing hours of reviews, You Tube videos and store visits for the big three makers I decided on another Echo and decided to go with a lighter weight saw. The 40.2 is a great saw for weight and your arms and body will thank you at the end if the job. Starts exactly how the instructions say. I have put ten tanks of gas through it and have cut and limbed maple up to 14 inch diameter with no issues. Great warranty, full refund after 30 days.

Hey I just bought this saw today, got it home and I noticed that the bar says 16” on it. On this webpage, in the store and on the box it says it should be an 18” bar. I’m just wondering if I can get the proper bar and chain.

After 1 year of no use, now the chain saw wont start. The engine tries to run, gas is in the saw, the choke is engaged but no luck starting. Removed the spark plug and noticed tons of gasoline on it, clean it, still no luck.. Suggestions appreciated..
