The reason that I purchased this unit was based on the GT-225 trimmer that I have had for at least 15 plus years now and it just keeps running. I actually have a wall of Echo equipment in the building. Quality products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I felt the ECHO PAS 16 in. Curved Shaft Trimmer... I felt the ECHO PAS 16 in. Curved Shaft Trimmer Attachment would have been a better productif it had a bump power head system like all the other weed trimmers and not the double strand system it has now. I would have given this product a five star if it had a better power head. Also, I feel that if the power head were changed to a bump system, I think it would help it be a bigger seller.

I have had it serviced each fall and its ready to go in the springtime. I did have to change out the string head this year. The old was was beat up pretty bad and wouldn't hold the string anymore. My next one will be another Echo.

I had an older Echo trimmer (just died) which also requires cutting pieces of string (vs. a spool), and I liked it just fine. But on this unit, it is difficult to feed a new piece, and impossible to remove it by hand. I now carry a pair of long-nose pliers every time, otherwise I can't get the old string out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife gave me the Echo Trimmer well over three years ago and it has continuously served me well. It never fails to start regardless of how long it has set. I've told her again and again how pleased I am with it. I intend to switch to Echo on all my lawn equipment as they need replacing.

I never had any problems with it. It was a gas operated weed eater. I would recommend there products to anyone, good quality.

The gearbox of my straight Pro Series trimmer attachment was damaged due to a miss-configuration. I am considering replacing the straight with this curved shaft and adding the power feed 400. Can anyone comment on the cured shaft vs the straight shaft for the Pro Series head? and can the Power feed 400 can be mounted on the curved trimmer? Thanks

Hi rh! Thank you for your inquiry. The Speed Feed 400 Trimmer Head can be used with the straight shaft and curved shaft trimmer attachments. The part number for the Universal Speed Feed is Part #99944200907; this part fits all curved and straight shaft ECHO trimmers.

Does it spin clockwise or counter clockwise? The answer i saw said clockwise to counter clockwise. This does not make sense. Does it spin the way the hands on the clock go or reverse???

Hi Michael! The rotation of curved shaft (GT) trimmers is clockwise (viewed from top). There is no way to change the rotation direction of the cutting head from clockwise to counterclockwise.
