The spc vinyl we bought has an underlayment attached. It’s 5mm with the underlayment. Could we lay eco cork on top of concrete and then the vinyl on top? We are just worried about the joints. The vinyl we have is very flexible, not rigid.  Thanks!

You should be ok with laying the eco cork then install the vinyl over it.  Ensure that the vinyl planks are properly connected together and you should have no problems with the flexing of the planks as they will flex as a unit when properly installed.  All vinyl planks have some flexibility and I have had no issues with any type of vinyl plank that I have installed, regardless of their thickness or flexibility.

When using with engineered hardwood, should you glue the engineered hardwood over it?

Thank you for your interest in Eco Cork Foam. The great news is that ECF works brilliantly with engineered flooring in a floating or nail down application. However, ECF is not approved for use with any glues or adhesives as they could affect the integrity of the product. ECF outperforms traditional underlayments and is Home Depots highest rated underlayment for this very reason. We always recommend that the flooring manufacturers installation guidelines are followed to ensure you do not void the flooring warranty. The installation instructions will stipulate the type of underlayments approved for their specific flooring, in terms of composition, thickness, and order of installation. Can this be used under engineered hardwood in a nail-down application, on the 2nd floor? Is the compression noticeable when walking? How squishy is it?

Please be sure to refer to the flooring manufacturer's guidelines for the proper length and width of nails to use for installation. ECF is 3.2 mm ( 1/8") thick and is a solid foundation for your floor providing comfort under foot yet firm enough to preserve the flooring connections. When opened, the product has a strong industrial smell - hard to qualify it better. It did not go away even after 2-3 hours. Any chance the smell will disappear after one or two days? Installing in a basement and afraid the smell will stay.

The smell goes away when you put the flooring on top of it and it will be replaced by flooring smells. Eventually it all goes away. I kinda like the smell of that stuff though. Lol.

what glue is needed for installaton to concrete floor? and on top for wood parquetry?

The cork underlay isn't glued down but is floating layer. One side of the sheet has a glue strip applied and protected by a peel off strip. The other side of the sheet has a plastic strip that is used to connect two sheets together. After aligning to sections of the underlay side by side, removing the protective strip off the glue strip and flip the plastic flap over, securing it to the glue strip. The provides the proper vapour barrier to the underlay. Once you have finished installing the cork underlay, you are ready to install your new flooring. Note that the flooring should be laid perpendicular to the underlay to avoid overlapping seams.
