Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as advertised Order online, picked it up at the store and box was ripped and looked like it was opened before. But the worst part was the online ad and my receipt says 12v 350gph pump but the box says 300gph. Not really impressed with the false advertisement.

You can just pull off the clips off the battery to stop the pump while holding the pump and hoses. After adding a switch and mounting both the pump and switch on a board, it works fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Strong start but quickly deteriorated I bought this about a month ago to cycle water out of the pool, through some black tubing and then back into the pool. Worked great at the start, but after 6 times it could no longer pull water from the pool, so I moved it such that a siphon fed the pump rather than lifting water. This worked not bad for another 6 times and now the pump won't push any water at all (yes, I oiled it each time before use). I've taped the inlet/outlet just to ensure a good seal, but this makes no difference. The kit comes with a spare impeller, however absolutely no instructions anywhere as to how to change it. I've contacted Eco-flo but haven't heard back yet. Very disappointing experience, definitely the weak link in my solar project.

It was a returned item, so some of the lubricating oil had been used, but it only originally included enough to run the pump three or four times. I was able to check it out with the remaining oil. In any case, it seems to be working fine. Some reviewers said if you attach the provided hose to the intake, it collapses when drawing water. I haven't had that problem. It would help if the store staff knew what kind of oil it was. (They said use "clear" oil.) The manufacturer's instructions simply address safety concerns, saying to not put plastic bags over you head, etc. They say nothing about how many amps it uses, what kind of oil it uses etc. I emailed the manufacturer. FYI: they said use mineral / baby oil. The label on the pump says 7.5 amps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this pump for getting water from a small stream to my garden without having to run a heavy extension cord. I have a 12 volt solar system that I run the pump from. I installed a quick connect on the inlet side so that it is easy to add oil prior to running. Wish the cord had a switch close to the pump, but that is a minor downside. Am pleased with the 360 gallon per hour speed. Makes short work of filling the water trenches in the garden.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ECO FLO PUP61 DC is ideal for removing water from fish ponds, water heaters, aquariums or other similar vessels. I especially like the 12 Volt DC motor, which can be used anywhere without being tethered to an extension cord. I use the lawn mower’s battery as a power source and quickly drained a fish pond for cleaning. The unit comes with the DC motor and pump, 6 foot suction hose, impeller replacement kit, floor drainer suction attachment, and a small bottle of oil for lubricating the pump prior to each use. It pumps up to 360 gallons per hour, at zero lift. The written instructions are more appropriate to the 120 Volt AC Pump, and mostly identifies electrical safety hazards. Fortunately, operation of the pump is very intuitive and easy to us. It comes with a 1 year warranty. Recommended for anyone needing to transfer water where gravity drainage is not an option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very pleased with the ECO-FLO 12 volt transfer pump. The quality is very good and it's easy to set up and use. The model number is PUP61DC and it has a 1/12th hp 7.5 amp DC motor. It comes with about a 5 foot garden hose to run from the suction filter to the pump and the flow rate is decent. It's a great pump for draining water heaters or areas where water has accumulated. It's not meant to pump solids. I'd definitely recommend for home use or for a professional who needs a pump to take care of water drainage needs.
