I purchased a replacement at a competitor and this size of pump has almost no lift, so is not recommended in most situations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely low flow of water Pump shipped quickly and was well built. However, it had very little power to pump water from a pond to flood a small rink--water flowed extremely slowly. Not sure what anyone would use this for unless they had unlimited time to move water.

I am thinking of using this to draining standing water from a lawn at the house I rent. Will this clog with grass, leaves, small pebble or chunks of dirt, etc?
Asked by: Guy
Yes it has a removable strainer but it will clog up just like any other pump - just keep checking & clearing - one thing nice is the bottom of the strainer is removable which allows the pump to float above the bottom greatly reducing clogs & so far battery has been OK

what would a person use this for if the batteries only last 5 hours or so? I want to use it in a birdbath but I can't change the batteries every 5 hours.
Asked by: Amber
Amber, This pump is designed for small water transfer jobs. It was not designed to be running multiple hours at a time. Several people use this pump to empty aquariums, toilet tanks, stopped sinks, etc. Please contact our team at 844-883-1872 for information on what pump could be used for your situation. Thanks.

I am looking to build a portable misting system. I am going to a music festival that is known for some very hot days. My plan is bring a 5 gallon bucket, put a submersible battery powered water pump in it and have it feed to a misting nozzle that sits behind a fan to help spread the mist throughout an enclosed canopy. I have never done anything like this and am worried about producing to much pressure and the nozzle popping off or something busting in some way lol. Any help would be appreciated.
Asked by: notSoWetWilly
You won't have to worry about pressure build up, this pump is very weak along with not really the correct type of pump for your project. You can not submerge this completely under water. You will only be able to get about a gallon of water in your bucket. Ours failed in the first minute of operation, along with coming a broken switch. Depending on the spray emitter type you will need some good pressure . If it were me i would go with a weed spay unit that is battery powered if you want to spend the money . You would then only need to put the sprayer behind the fan. When I was coaching youth soccer we made several of these to cool off our team using just manual hand pump sprayers. Get the largest and it should last a while. Home depot sells everything you need. Our store sells misting nozzles and personal misting devices during the summer. Been making things for years have fun and good luck.
