Rated 3 out of 5 by from great machine, but... Tried the EGO snow thrower in about 10" of snow and it worked great. But when it came to the heavy compacted snowbank left by the street plow on my driveway, it failed me. Since it is not self-propelled you have to push the blower into the snow bank yourself and that was really hard on the shoulders. Once into the snow bank it blew the snow up and away readily. But I want a snowblower to do all the work for me and the EGO does only one part. Conclusion: if you are dealing with uncompacted snow only, its a great machine. But if you have to deal with a heavy compacted snowbank, such as left by a street plow, this is not your machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! I bought this yesterday, charged the batteries last night, and used it this morning after a full days worth of snow squalls blew in my driveway. The snow was about 2' deep (dense drifted snow) throughout the majority of the driveway, and the Ego Snowblower had no issues what-so-ever. I actually had to turn down the power, as it was blowing the snow over my lawn into the neighbors driveway (about a 15' distance). Also, it had no issues with the pile of snow the plow left at the end of the driveway (though it was fresh, and hadn't had a chance to freeze up yet). Overall, no complaints what-so-ever so far, and it sure beats a shovel!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unfortunately had to return I bought this on Oct 11 and used once on Nov 03 and then returned it. I was so excited about the snowblower since I have the Ego lawnmower, chainsaw and hedge trimmer and loved these products. My main complaint with the snowblower is the handle to push the blower are too low and not adjustable.. I need to reach down to the middle of my thighs and it was hard on my back to push thru heavy snow since it is not self propelled. My wife did not have these issues since she is a lot shorter than i am. Other than that it would be a great product. I will need to buy a bigger gas machine for our needs. I had wonderful service with our local Home Depot and will also try other Ego products in the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Verdit still out Happy with the 7.5ah battery life but, the first two snows I tried to use it on were about 1-1.5 inches deep and it only would blow the snow about 6 feet at best on high power. When I went over the areas that built up more from the previous path it seemed better but not more then about 10-12' Far less then advertised. I hope it does better on deeper snow to come. I will have to contact support to find out why this isn't throwing snow farther if it continues on larger amounts of snow. Bottom scraper wants to put a drag on concrete walks, I recommend another long lasting edge keeping material for scraper. I also recommend larger rubber wheels for better performance.

I bought this snow blower before Christmas of 2017 an didn't have to use it much until our big Chicago snow in Feb' of 2018. 13" of snow fell in (2) days and I gave this snow blower a workout! I first used it on 9" of snow and then the second snow fall was 4". My neighbors were so impressed they had to come over and look at it. One of my neighbors went out and bought one the next day! They batteries never gave out even when I helped my neighbor snow blow his driveway. I am so impressed with this product that I am going to buy the EGO lawnmower in spring and sell my Honda mower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Value for money I bought this model about a month ago and am please to say that I invested in it. I get a decent amount of snow. Approx 4 to 6 inches each time it falls. I also have a 8 car driveway. The machine cleared the driveway and the side walks within 40 mins and on a single battery charge. The machine is extremely light and can be operated by a 10 year old child. Battery recharge time is also fairly quick. The machine can be operated on a single battery or 2. I would say really great value for money as also no maintenance is required as compared to a gas blower. Does a very good job for a single stage blower. Hope it stands the test of time and last for a few years.

J'ai fais l'équivalent de 3 entrées de 2 véhicules avant que les piles passent au rouge. Amplement de temps pour faire ce dont j'ai à faire. Evidement il s'agit d'un souffleur à pile donc celle ci à quand même ses limites comparativement à un souffleur à essence. Après avoir consulté les nombreux avis sur différents site, je considère que j'ai fais un bon choix pour mes besoins. Les années diront si celle ci aura une bonne durée de vie.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Blower- Terrible Cutting Edge I am going on my 3rd year with this blower. I live at 7000 ft elevation with a simple driveway and about 75' of sidewalk. The blower is phenominal for a battery operated unit. It does everything as advertised. Where i give Ego a 1 star is the cutting edge for multiple reasons. 1- Cheap Plastic (always have an extra available) I went through three cutting edges last year. 2- It's expensive for what you get. 3. Ego won't listen when a multitude of people suggest they switch to a Nylon cutting edge. 4. They run out of stock on them and nobody who is authorized dealer carries their parts. Makes me wonder if they make more off wear items than the actual sale of the unit. I will finish with a high note on Ego as their customer service and warranty are responsive and will be clear on what they can and can't do for you.

You might ask at https://community.egopowerplus.com/ego/topics/ Personally, I believe in a balance of power. Equal size batteries in both compartments of the snow blower. For the snow blower you need max power. Use two 7.5 amp batteries. I bought a second 7.5 amp on the 'bay to have on hand for my lawn mower. In winter, both go into the snow blower.

The 7.5 provides long run time. I have used LI batteries from other EGO products in combination with my 7.5 to further extend run time.

Can its handle height be adjusted?

Yes, it can be adjusted to any position you want by loosening the lower knobs and position to your desired angle and then tightening up the knobs. Pretty simple. I love mine and if you use 2 - 7.5Ah batteries it really lasts a while. Good Luck with yours!!

Yes. the snow blower will treat them as one 12.5AMP battery. I purchased from EGO: 12" String Trimmer in August 2015 3 Speed Blower in August 2015 20" Mower in August 2015 Hedge Trimmer in May 2016 Snow Blower in Nov 2016 Products are great batteries are terrible. At the 3 year mark (warranty coverage) they stopped working completely. Most batteries degrade overtime. The EGO batteries completely stopped taking a charge. When I contacted EGO customer service they would not replace. A replacement battery for these are between $130-$360 depending on the size Worst timing for failed batteries, we got our first snow and we couldn't clear the driveway. No warning, they just stopped working, 2 of my 3 batteries toast and the remaining is much to small to run a mower or snow blower. If you are looking at an ROI you must factor in new batteries every year. For me, between $130 & $360 PER YEAR. Depending on how many products you buy and the size of batteries you need to complete the work. Even at the low end (wouldn't cover my need nor a mower or snow blower's need), $150 a year, Gas is cheaper and more reliable for myself. I feel conned. Was hoping for an alternative solution to gas, I guess the technology isn't there.
