Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap parts that break easily We replaced a screen door a few years back with this door and are extremely disappointed. The door we replaced was almost 40 years old and was brown, thought we would update it with a white one. The sales person said it was a great door so we bought it. Paid almost $300.00 for the door and within the first year the spring in the handle broke. Tried to get the part through Home Depot and had no luck. Tried through EMCO and no luck. They stopped answering the emails we sent. So cant lock the door anymore, the deadbolt works but not the handle. Its $65.00 to replace the handle all because of one spring that broke. May a well buy a new one. Shortly after the door handle broke spots started showing up and the paint bubbled and now it looks like a mess at the bottom of the door. We will be buying a new door shortly, but not at Home Depot nor will it be an EMCO door. Its a shame because we loved the screen and window feature.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage and waste of time. Strut broke in 2 months time and now it slams shut every single time. Thick grease and powder came out on the rod side. Thought a tension adjustment might help but I didn’t do a thing. Now I have to waste my time to get this sorted. Been put on hold over an hour and pass back and forth between customer service and the door department over and over again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very disappointed with the handle The door was easy to install (2 people) and looks very nice, however the handle "spout" is a tiny triangle that hardly catches the striker. Worst thing yet, is that the striker juts out and is definitely a safety hazard. I went back to Home Depot and verified that we installed it right - yes, it looked just like in the store. We're going to have to buy another storm door handle...

Emco very quickly shipped a replacement to my local Home Depot. I installed the new door last week. I'm impressed with how they stand behind their product. Everyone, from Emco to the Home Depot staff I dealt with were excellent.

The metal panel begins to get all pitted and it spreads like a bad rash. Basically, this is a bio-degradable door that only looks good for a few years before it breaks down. Buy another brand instead.
