These are not designed for pests such as squirrels or chipmunks. They do work very well for rabbits and so we are very happy.

    Does it work for mice and rats?

    This does not work well for household mice and rats. It would work for moles, voles, and some ground dwelling mice, but you would probably have more success with an ultrasonic model for mice and rats.

    do both units make noise?? Or just the one?

    the en656 comes in a two pack and both units make noise. if you have one unit that does not make noise please check the red button make sure it is in the proper position. if it is then let it sit in the sun for 2 days, preferably off so the battery can charge up. if after two days in the sun it still does not make please return it to the store for exchange.
