So not sure how it will work but so far pretty good. It is a very heavy stove so hopefully it lasts a long time. I think it is very well priced and seems to be efficient so far. Just hope it keeps my house warm like my old arrow did! To soon to tell but seems like a good stove!

PRIMARY SOURCE OF HEAT IN New Hampshire 9 YEARS AGO in 2012 We installeded our Englander 30-NCH Wood Stove. It has performed perfecly since. It replaced a metal built in fireplace in our mobile home. The base that it came with keeps to the mobile home listing, but came with nice legs for regular home use. Usually appliances approved for mobile homes are overpriced and cheaply made. This Made In USA stove is nothing but top quality. The Englander welders and fabricators sure don’t need any practice. The finish after seasoning shows it was welded by experienced pro’s. It would be great in any home. It was fired gently at first to temper in (per instructions) and has seasond well. The plates and castings are smooth with no warping. Fire bricks are still perfect. Hinges and door still fit straight & tight. Englander sends the wife email once a year offering tune up stuff. (handy if needed but not over done) This stove has outside air intake for manufactured housing and may not be required for regular home use. (vent is air intake, not heat... easy) Installed according to manufacturers easy to follow instructions. We chose 2 layers of 1/2” Micore 300 for R1 rating of the hearth. Backer and tile from HD over that. We ordered the optional side shields from Englander to lower the required side clearance. (install easy pre drilled) It came with the AC-16 blower which sounds like loud white noise. We run the fan on low speed when it gets in the red on our magnetic thermometer (purchased seperatly). Surprizing how quickly it cools it down so running constantly is not necessary. The optional AC-30 with it’s squirrell cage blower would be quiter, but again, only use it for that quick morning heat up. Ceiling paddle fan helps too. The included rear, and optional side shields dissipate plenty of heat into living space. The interior air diffuser system gives the flame an interesting dance as seen through the glass in the door. Easy slide operation of the air intake control knob. Pets curl up next to it with their fur left on ;~) I saw one in my local HD while picking up gardening stuff. It reminded me to share the experience we continue to get from ours. Nailed It! .50 GPH Miller oil downdraft (original) for backup. The original furnace was way under sized and ran continously, but this stove heats all night with the night fill. For keeping up with heat output on cold nights, I would compare BTU output of the stove to a .75 GPH to >1.00 GPH oil nozzle / air or FHW... seriously! PS grab yourself a furniture dolly to move the stove. I have an engine stand and binder chain to lift it off the dolly and position. Has good pallet.

I had its baby brother for the past ten years. I decided to upgrade merely for the increased heating capacity. Both are excellent stoves. I am impressed by the size of the fire-box, more than double the capacity of the smaller model. I expect to receive years of enjoyment. PS I recommend purchasing the full size fan unit- it out-performers the noisy little one by leaps and bounds.

Comment?: "There is a metal plate up behind the baffle that is welded to the top and I discovered that it is welded on the far left and right only. one weld broke."

Asked by: Tweebles
Not sure what this person means exactly...may be an older model...our 2018 version has ceramic baffle boards above the secondary combustion tubes and no such welded bits can be seen.
