Enigma Astro Silver Ledgerstone 6 in. x 24 in. Wall Tile is a Natural Stone Quartz with elegant white tones. Strips of stone are stacked and glued together to form a 6 in. x 24 in. panel that is easy to install. The stepped pattern continues the natural randomness. This tile can easily be laid in a pattern or single layout and is suitable for residential and commercial installation. Natural stones may be characterized by dry seams and pits that are often filled. The filling can work its way out and it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure. All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, but difficult for mitre cuts Stone was great for home DYI renos. Although keep in mind that if you plan on doing mitre cuts that the different widths of the stone make it very challenging to line them up exactly. We gave up on the mitre cuts after 3-4 failed attempts and adjusted our plans accordingly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ledge stone I did alot of this stone and it's very nice all tho there should be corner prices as overlapping your corners leaves gaps because the stone is not flush on the back. It should be made for all angles.

Can I install this stone on wood surface(kitchen island). If so can I use glue or is thin set still recommended. Thank you

In my research before installing you can use either. Thin set makes it easier to remove, but if you want it more permanent I’d use glue.

Could this be used as a shower wall?

This product is a slate product, so slate is not recommend for any wet area installation. Natural iron deposits in the slate will rust out over time when exposed to water. The TCNA does not recommend slate for this reason for any wet area application.

I want this Astro Silver Ledgerstone as a backsplash in my kitchen. What kind/brand do you recommend and how do I apply it

All natural stone should be installed with a premium thinsest mixed per the product instructions. All natural stone should be sealed with a waterbased impregnating / penetrating sealer without enhancer. Instructions are also printed on the carton, or visit your local Home Depot location for expert instruction from an associate in this department.

Can this be installed directly onto dry and used as an accent wall?  Looking for a brick wall where my TV would be along with a floating shelf and electric fireplace.   Also, is there any prep work needed and what is all the material needed to install?

We replaced the ceramic tile on our fireplace with this. It went directly on the drywall. It was very easy to install and looks great. We purchased the dry mortor and the tile trowel with the notched edge. We measured and cut the stone prior to installation. The most of was trowelled onto the wall and the strips were back buttered before placement.

Installing this around a gas fireplace. is there a specific adhesive that should be applied or can it be thin set. Taking down old tile. Is there a specific backing we should use before applying tiles?

For best bonding results, the surface should be clean, dry, and have open pores for adhesion. Smooth, non-porous or polished surfaces should be avoided to adhere to. Interior installations of LEDGER STONEs could be installed on gypsum drywall or exterior grade plywood for up to 10’ in height. Cement board is recommended for interior walls exceeding 10' in height. For exterior applications, LEDGER STONE can be installed directly onto brick, masonry block, cured concrete, or cement board. For all installations, a polymer modified mortar is recommended. For commercial installations, as well as exterior installations over 10' in height, a polymer modified mortar with a latex additive is strongly recommended. The product is non-flammable material however we do ask to check with your local fire station for your local fire code as there can be small variations depending on the community you live in.

This product is approved for outdoor installations. We generally recommend a thinset mortar installation similar to ceramic tiles. There are a few videos on youtube that are good resources. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cex2_jnOy9o Thanks,
