Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice Used this for a bathroom renovation around the tub, gives it a very nice look!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks nice, daily maintenance required Beautiful looking tiles, unfortunately the upkeep is time consuming. Every drop of water leaves a stain on the tile, so the floor needs to be wiped after each use. Special cloth needs to be used to avoid streaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Tile The tile is beautiful. We paired it with Enigma Onyx Grigio in our bathroom. The one consideration I was not prepared for was learning that while the Black Division tile is 1’ x 2’, the Onyx Grigio is slightly larger by 1/16” making the tile 1’ 1/16” x 2’ which becomes more visible the further up the wall to go .. depending on how fussy you are. This was a bit surprising since they are both enigma tiles. Also worth noting is the tile is more charcoal in color than stark black. We bought charcoal grout to go with it and spaced them 1/16” apart. Gorgeous with our new stainless steel shower tower and sleek new bright white tub, vanity and square seated toilet seat! Kathleen

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks nice but chips from nothing Installed it on both walls and floor in bathroom. It is a beautiful tile, but it has chipped in so many spots. I would understand if it was on the floor and we had dropped or dragged something on it, but we haven't. Even the walls in the shower has chipped, and nothing sharp or heavy has been used in there. It also shows stains from water and gets dirty very easily.

Would this be suitable for outdoor installations? We are looking for a tile for around the water line of a concrete pool so they would need to be resistant to frost and outside elements.

Asked by: MichVause
Unglazed porcelain is Frost proof and suitable to be used outside. However, this is a polished black tile, and can show scratches. So being installed in a pool, especially at the water line level, scratches could occur over time depending on the amount of debris in the pool and its constant movement back and forth in a abrasive nature against a polished black tile. Polished black is not the best choice for this type of application.

Is this tile good for shower walls? Does it really chip easily like in the review? And can we install is stacked instead of offset? Thanks

Asked by: plabonte
The Division polished porcelain tile has a water absorption rate of less than 0.5% meaning that it will work as a shower surround and due to the manufacturing process these tiles are heavier and the extra weight makes them harder to handle as well as easier to drop. Porcelain tile is the hardest, densest tile available and with this products rectified form will make the perfect accompaniment for your shower. For large tile installations we recommend that you do not do more than a 33% offset however the preferred method would be to stack the tile for a shower surround.
