Rated 1 out of 5 by from Negative reviews are deleted! I gave a review of this product a couple of months ago but it has been deleted, probably because it was negative. The matte finish will brighten up with 3 or 4 coats of gloss sealer BUT each box contains a couple of tiles where the finish absorbs a lot more sealer than the others causing them to shine a lot more than the others which you don't find out until you've installed the tile. Either the tiles are defective or the manufacturing process is not consistent, and I don't know how to fix the discrepancy in the tiles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Low Maintenance Tile Just installed this throughout my kitchen and mudroom and it looks fantastic. This is an "as is" tile and I don't recommend putting a sealer over it. Easy to cut, easy to install and just a great looking tile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for showers! I used these on my shower walls and they look wonderful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice! We just had the tiles installed last week (about 350 sq. ft. of it when all was said and done) and it looks amazing! The colour is sleek and we had it installed in a modern pattern which makes it feel updated. We went with "platinum" grout for a dark, seamless look. I would definitely recommend this product and its good price point.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from ok They are nice tiles, however one ended up being 2 mm thinner than the others and we didn't noticed until we placed them down, which doesn't look great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was hoping for Gorgeous tile that I have used in my niche, and as a decorative band with my light grey show tiles. It is fantastic!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Potential Got this tile installed. It has a flat finish and I mean no shine or gloss whatsoever. If there is a product that can seal it and give it a nice glossy finish than it would great. So far, I am a little disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value The tiles are great, look good. Slight variation in one run, we have tiles that match but that just look higher quality than others. Also, a number come out of the box woth glue onnthem that needs to be scraped off, simply cut off if you are only using a partial tile.

Is this tile good for outdoors on a deck where there is a lot of rain .... we are in costal British Columbia

Asked by: Lemonade
Mine is just in front of the fireplace, so I'm not a good judge on this. I did notice, when I was installing it, that it chips fairly easily. Luckily I had extra tiles. So for that reason, I'm not sure how well it would handle outdoors.

Is this tile rectified? What is the recommended width for the grout lines? What is the recommended trowel size for applying thin-set?

Asked by: Robert
This tile is not rectified. The recommended width for the grout lines is 3/16”. Do not use a 50/50 offset. Maximum is 1/3 offset The recommended trowel size for applying thin-set is ¼” x 3/8” Square or U notch

Can tile be used on an 8'wx10'h 12" thick outdoor wall (all 4 sides) in Ontario with winter weather? It will be used to hang a large TV for a covered patio. Three sides protected, one will not be, needs to protect electrical inside the wall.

Asked by: Sarah D
Tile still requires a grout joint even when installed in a vertical application. Tiles cannot be installed with a "butt joint" touching each other as this can lead to breaking and chipping. The wall will still require the proper structure and waterproofing with electrical, as tile on its own will not provide a water proof enclosure for any type of electrical work.

Can I use this tile on the shower floor?

Asked by: Carla
Yes, this tile can be used in wet areas, as it is porcelain. However, check with your contractor / installer, as most prefer a smaller format tile for a shower floor, as it is easier to form / develop the slope required for drainage to the drain, and more difficult with larger format tiles.

Is this tile suitable for shower walls? Thanks

Asked by: DKBE
Yes - this is suitable for a shower wall install. Per the TCNA, be sure to use no more than a 1/3 offset to minimize lippage, and keep any downwash lighting at least 2 feet from the wall to minimize shadows, which can make intolerance lippage look much larger. Use a 1/16" - 1/8" grout joint for the installation.

Could this tile be used behind/under a wood stove?

Asked by: Leah
Porcelain tile is suitable to be used in these types of high heat conditions, as it is fired in a 1400 degree kiln. It can be used around a wood stove.

Three questions. 1) When cut, does this product have the same colour throughout the piece? 2) Can this tile be cut to produce a mosaic pattern for a concrete basement floor? 3) Are the tile edges bevelled? If so, is there a way to bevel the edges once cut

Asked by: Peter54
1) - the body is a colored body that is similar to the graphic. 2) - yes, the tile can be cut, but be sure to leave grout joint sizes in your calculations when cutting tile that may have modular pieces (some going in one direction, some in another) in the pattern. 3) - edges are not beveled. Most porcelain tiles cannot be beveled because of a thin engobe layer that acts like a primer per say before the graphic is applied on top. Bevelling would make this visible, and is very difficult to do so evenly after market. It will also make your grout joints look quite larger as grout will ride up the bevel, and not a look normally wanted with modern flooring installations to have large grout joints.
