Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Failure I bought this paint expecting good things. First of all, the coverage is nowhere near what it claims. That, I can live with. I followed all of the instructions to a tee! Etched, waited until dry, painted, waiting a week and then covered with the Epoxy Clear Coat (Rustoleum assured me the 2-part clear epoxy can go over the 1-part paint). I then waited a week and a half before I pulled vehicles in. Well, it’s less than a month and the paint is peeling where my car wheels sit. I am sure it will look like trash in no time. Highly not recommended! I would rate zero stars, but there is nothing less than 1 available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brightens up bare concrete We used this product on our laundry room floor. It’s not a high traffic area and we have only had it on the floor about a month but seems to be holding up well. Clean up of the brushes was easy as long as it was done right after use, but if you use a roller, it takes a while to rinse it out. I did the job in a couple of stages and eventually just threw the roller out. We have a rough concrete floor and used about 3/4 of the tin on slightly less than 200 square feet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would recommend this product Easy to apply; remember to clean your concrete thoroughly. I will see how it weathers over the winter. So far I'm very pleased with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, easy tl clean up This did a nice job. Most of my floor was older concrete that had been treated, while a small area that was repaired and had new concrete. After using an etch and rinsing, the first coat was done a day later once it dried. Since some of the floor was new and some was older, a second coat was needed to make tge finish look even. Since I had enough, I gave it a third coat, but two would have been sufficient.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your time and effort on this paint It is not a "1 coat coverage" paint as it advertises itself to be (as seen in the picture), and is flakes and peels off SO easily (as seen in the second picture). Wish I could refund paint, but hopefully this review will help someone else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Applied as directed and it came up in flakes. Tried another coat, it came up in flakes. Under tires, by garage door, blowing all over driveway.... its terrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from customer It is very thick and covers stains in one coat but is better to do two. and is very low smell to it. sticks to concrete well

What is the proper floor prep? I am painting a garage floor.

Asked by: 13Dexter
Sweeping the entire of loose dirt and debris. Then vacuum. Hose the area down to wash away loose particles. While still wet use a cleaning mixture 1:1 (extra strengh cleaning vinegar OR bleach, and water) to scrub the entire area to be painted. Allow to dry thoroughly before painting. My garage floor didn't have grease, and it there is grease on your floor, check into a stronger cleaner for concrete surfaces.

Is it slip resistant. I will be using it on my concrete garage floor which is sometimes wet and I want to ensure that I do not wipe out. Also, will it fill in the holes in the concrete as my floor is 40years old and has a lot of holes.

Asked by: danny3xf
Hi danny3xf, Like any floor coating, our Concrete Floor Paint will be slippery when wet. You can add our Rust-Oleum Anti-Slid additive to the paint to help with this. In regards to the paint filling holes; We recommend using our Concrete Patch & Repair kit or a resurfacer product to fill all your holes prior to coating the floor.

Asked by: Alex
Hi Alex, You can apply a top coat to give the floor a higher gloss. You can apply our Epoxyshield Premium Clear Floor Coating Kit after 24 hours.

I am removing the carpet on my back steps and will create a new finish. The carpet looks is held down with contact cement. I can etch the surface but I expect much of the contact cement will not come off. Is this product still and option? Doug

Asked by: Doug
Hi Doug, The contact cement should be removed. You can try a glue stripper or surface grinding to remove it.

I have a newly constructed home, with an untouched concrete basement. Am I able to use this product without etching?

Asked by: Kyle
Hi Kyle, There is usually a smooth finish on a new concrete. Etching helps to open the pores to allow the Concrete Floor paint to soak in allows for maximum adhesion. It is best to etch the concrete floor prior to painting.

Can you use rust-oleum garage and interior floor primer, and then epoxyshield concrete floor paint on top of it? Is it durable for a harsh Montreal winter. I use my garage daily. Do you recommend these products? How do I keep the floor clean over winter?

Asked by: SiaK
I'm sorry, I don't know. I used the concrete floor paint in two areas; my concrete slab patio behind my house, and I'm very pleased with that. And in my carport. I'm not nearly as pleased with the results of that application (two coats)--it didn't weather our winter well. (Vancouver Island, Canada--traditionally milder winters than east of the Rocky Mountains
