Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works and is reasonably priced. I use a plastic syringe to put 15ml into 12L of water in a bucket to fill my humidifiers. I have been using this treatment for a few years and it works better than a bleach solution I used that allowed some mould to grow on the filter. This treatment also costs about $5 per month. Other treatments cost as much as $30 per month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's the best. I've used about every mold and bacteria additive treatment for my evaporative humidifiers and have searched online for others and for better deals. Imagine my surprise when I found this at Home Depot. It's the best price by far and is stronger so goes twice as far. My wicks (filters) are lasting longer and, with an occasional alcohol spray cleaning, one set may last a whole season. Essick is the manufacturer of my unit (which is also marketed under the brand names AirCare and Emerson). So they should know what they're doing!

I just poke 2 pin holes on the top and count seconds to pour the right amount per gallon after I’ve measured in a cup how many seconds it takes to pour that same amount. Easy peasy!

I use my humidifier in a basement apartment, is this product safe to breath in?

I use it in my basement. Mine is apartment I don't rent out. I am going on my second season and I have no problems with it. If it is not safe it should say on the label. I hope this helps.
