Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like it Bought this on online-sale from home depot, I setup up this one on wire and it is super easy you just need to follow the step. If you are stuck in your installation then just go to you tube and search for any installation guide. Best part no subscription is needed 16 GB storage is already attached to Home Base. If you connect this with wire then chime can come from your door bell chime as well as Home Base, but if you are connect using battery then only home base. Everything you need to install this door bell is included except the screw driver or drill machine (if needed),

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality, Happy Customer The doorbell works great. The 2K resolution is choppy with 2Mbps upload speeds so I suggest to lower down to 1080p, which is satisfactory. Activity Zone feature is useful. The wired-only version includes 3sec buffer but this one does the job. It automatically captures a snapshot of approaching visitors. Settings are adjustable to record up to 2min upon trigger of people or all motion. 2 way communication works great with suburb audio on both ends with little delay to no delay once settings are adjusted to stream at 1080p. Easy to replace existing doorbell and the Homebase 2 also chimes, as well as all connected devices via the app. I’ve been using the doorbell for 2 months with no issues. Haven’t put it through a Canadian prairie winter yet. Temps avg. -30C so we’ll see.

However, there are a few things you should know 1) This does not work with all Google Home devices, only ones with a screen. In other words your Google will not tell you when someone is at the door when someone presses the bell. The hub will ding and your smart phone may alert, but if you're not near either of them, you won't know. 2) The camera has a setting to block areas of its field of view so you don't get an alert after every car goes by. THIS does NOT work. (It's also a problem with the outdoor security cameras) 3) At the same time,and ironically, it does not always detect when someone comes to your door. I have missed several visits due to this! 4) Probably owing to #2 above, the battery life is much lower because it keeps turning on when a car goes by. Wireless is nice. Image is good. But there is some fundamental functionality that is missing here. By the time I realized these glitches, it seemed too late to return it. Be careful. If I were to do it again, I'd buy the one with the chime rather than the hub, and buy the outdoor cameras with the hub. This way, when the doorbell doesn't work, I could return it without having to return the cameras. Or buy a nest.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Motion detection non existant This eufy doorbell doesn't work. I had 3 different burly delivery men walk right up to my door to deliver parcels and the motion detection didn't work. No notices. It is totally useless and I will initiate a return. Terrible motion detection

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and quality Works great - with a very clear picture. Set up took a bit as we needed to bring the Doorbell closer to the Home Base for initial set up but once that was completed it works amazingly. Hoping to add to the system with a couple cameras as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very reliable motion detection Only catches movement 60% of the time so not very reliable. There's days where it won't detect anything at all even through it's obvious we've been going in and out of the house many times. So for sure misses people even more. If you don't need a battery version of a doorbell I use the EZVIZ at my parents house that's hardwired that's way cheaper and more reliable that home depot also sells and doesn't need subscription like this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good, but not perfect The sensor doesn’t work as well as it should. It has a very precise zone tool but doesn’t really work precisely. Took me a few days of messing around with settings , now it’s working well but not as advertised in my opinion. Also the battery doesn’t last 6 months, with regular use 1-2 months but only take a couple hours to charge so it’s not a big deal.

I like the fact that it can be hard wired without the need to have it removed for recharging, and that the recorded videos are stored in the Homebase without additional cost for iCloud. Highly recommended!

HomeBase speaker is a chime. You can add Alexa Echo device as a chime. Also compatible with mechanical chime (not digital chime)

Hello, Just to clarify, this package comes with the doorbell camera as well as the home base correct? The home base to my understanding is the storage / wifi link for the doorbell. Does it also work as the doorbell chime?
