Rated 3 out of 5 by from Review from a Professional Installer Lots of weird negative reviews from DIYers on these products. I used to do Home Depot pro installs for a few years before transitioning beyond them for more extensive work. These cabinets are adequate in build quality. If you're buying off the shelf, make sure they've never been opened. If they have, don't buy it. If you're ordering a kitchen in through the designers, they will likely all be new unopened boxes. Instructions are very straightforward and all size of cabinets follow the same system, only differing depending on sink style (if there is a sink in the cabinet), false fronts, etc. Corner units and special units are different. Wall/upper cabinets are different as well, but even easier. In response to the gentlemen going all engineer mode about how cabinets should be built: All cabinets are built with the gables sandwiching the top and bottom panels. If you had the bottom panel pinned upward into the gable(bottom panel spanning entire width of cabinet), it would not last, period. These are cabinets, not floor joists. PRO tips for a smooth install and assembly: -Use water on the blue/green dowels, but I would recommend using carpenters glue on them, and the metal ones as well. -When installing the feet, set all of them to a uniform height (34 1/2" from the very top of the cabinet to the bottom of the feet), then when installing, you can raise and lower as needed to level it to the floor/neighbour cabinets. -When nailing the backpanel on, lay the cabinet on its face and measure corner to corner and ensure it is square (or use a builder's square). Nailing the backpanel helps keep the cabinet square. -Read all the way through the instructions if you are building a cabinet that requires modifications or needs to accommodate special accessories. -Make sure your metal pins have been expanded AND the gables are nice and tight before doing so (these are the large + shape/philips cam locks). -Once the feet are on, do not slide the cabinet around on them, they WILL break. They are designed to assist in leveling and take vertical force, not horizontal force. Once screwed to the wall, the cabinet will only apply partial pressure. -Use 2-1/2" to 3" screws into the wall, 3" especially if the drywall is thicker than half inch. Pocket hole screws work well for this. -Use 1-1/4" screws to join cabinets together (through the sides.) Four will do it, one in each corner. If the gables are 5/8"s thick and not 3/4", 1-1/8" is ideal if you can find them. -Use two hand clamps to assist in lining gables up when attaching cabinets together, always. Anyway, these are decent cabinets but they are cheaper and don't expect anything mind blowing. They will serve their function.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from POOR DESIGN The floor is set between the sidwalls, and the legs attach to the floor. The support between the sidewalls consists of a couple of pins set into dowels. As a result, the loads from above break the pins through the floor, and the cabinet collapses. FIX: (for manufacturer) Make sidewalls shorter by thickness of floor. Make floor wider by 2xthickness of sidewalls. Result: Vertical loads are transmitted to the legs, with out breaking the floor. (tabs on legs do not work - they bend)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Basic Base Cabinet Put this cab together yesterday. Labels were missing from most parts, and the instructions were sketchy but sufficient for most people. The Masonite back panels were cut identical, but did not fit - way too wide across! I used a rafter square as a straight edge, and a sharp knife to remove 3/16" from the end of each panel (2 panels, labeled C). Now they fit like a glove. Two "extra" crossboard-sized pieces were included in the box, which may confuse some people, although they're probably just in there for packing. I will use them to reinforce the gable ends, as described by a previous reviewer. If you want a basic box and know a little carpentry, this one is okay. No missing parts or fasteners. Quick to build. Hope they fix the panel cut at the factory!

Can drawers be installed in these base cabinets, or are they strictly for shelves?

Asked by: Reno22
Hi, The Eurostyle 30" cabinets are available into different configurations, but the cabinet code will vary depending on it. By exemple, a B2D30 will include 2 complete drawers, a B3D30 will include 3 drawers and a B4D30 will come with 4 drawers. Inner drawers are available into 2 different heights, on special orders only. Hoping this helps, Best Regards.

A customers says the base cabinet bottom panel spans between the gable ends and can therefore break from these side gables when heavily loaded - as it's only supported by two pins on each side. Don't the legs extend under and also support the side gables?

Asked by: Paul M
Good day, The legs installed under the bottom panels have to be installed in the right position where it supports the side at the same time. In each assembly plans inside of the base cabinet box it explains how to install the legs properly. Thank you
