Rated 3 out of 5 by from "Good Enough" for the Laundry Room My grudging 3-star recommendation to a friend is heavily subject to the following caveats and pit-falls. For those areas or rooms not on regular display such as in the laundry room, or in a closet tucked away somewhere, the low cost of this line of "Eurostyle" cabinetry makes them a satisfactory, if less than great utilitarian value. Their un-adorned "style" (I'm not sure if the Europeans would agree that they have any style at all) does not lend itself to use in any areas where one desires a demonstration of ownership pride. At a this relatively low price level, you get what you pay for, or maybe slightly less. Made of inexpensive melamine coated fiber board, the cabinets come in knock-down form requiring assembly. The instructions are in cartoon form with minimal text. Unfortunately some of the details of the cartoons are difficult to decipher where component orientation is critical. This is important because evidently the same parts are used in multiple assemblies, and are pre-drilled for more than one application. Get it wrong and you are in trouble. While construction is not difficult, the end product does not inspire confidence as to its rigidity. The cabinets, and particularly the first cabinet in a row, really need proper and careful squaring up as they are mounted to the wall. I would suggest using some strategically placed good-quality wood glue to encourage greater assembled strength and making sure that they are properly squared up before the glue sets. Of several cabinet models in the Eurostyle line, this particular corner cabinet comes with extra pieces that allow construction of two different configurations. This means that you are committed to the cost of the parts for the one you choose not to build (!) and that the ultimate destination of those parts and your cash is the trash. Worse, as was the case for us, the instructions for the second configuration were missing, and in fact we set out on the construction with the instructions we had before realizing that there was a second configuration. No back-tracking allowed. In retrospect, we would have preferred the other version the instructions for which were missing, but we can live with what we built. The kit includes a few bits of hardware, but the company is pretty chintzy on what they provide. Only three measly screws for assembly with other cabinets? Come on! The right-angle shelf in this item requires a minimum of 6 shelf supports, but only 4 were provided. On my next 100 km round trip to HDepot maybe I can find another two. The minimalist type of shelf support provided does not engage the shelf board enough to prevent the shelf from sliding out of the cabinet in regular daily use. We actually used this corner wall cabinet along with other units as lower "base cabinets" because the shallower depth of 11 3/4 inches worked better in the space where they are located. They were mounted on a 5-inch base constructed of the same type of melamine board. Some were left as open shelves without doors.
