7x19 cable consists of 19 individual wires that are laid in a spiral around a center or king wire to form a strand. Seven of these strands are then twisted together to form a cable. Each wire is hot-dipped in galvanized steel to ensure corrosion resistance. The larger number of strands in a 7x19 cable makes them stronger and more flexible than 7x7 cables. Typical applications include use as garage door cables, for tie-downs, in dog runs, for hanging signs, and as guy wires for antennas and flagpoles. Do not use for overhead lifting. Never exceed the Safe Working Load of 1400 lb. This 1/4 in cable is sold by the foot, in-store only. An associate in any Home Depot Store can assist with cutting this rope to your desired length.
