Lacks proper instructions, so here is what I did.INSTRUCTIONS (will also attempt to add photos):
Step 1: Mark it 1’-0” off the back wall and however high you want it at. Usually allow for minimum 3’-6” for shirts. Use a stud finder to figure out if there’s a stud nearby you could use as support, otherwise you might want to consider adding plywood backing or a 2x4 first.
Step 2: Unscrew the set screw and black plastic off the bar. There are screws hidden behind the black plastic!!
Step 3: Screw the matching metal U-cup end piece to the wall (where you had the mark)
Step 4: Screw the small black plastic piece into the middle of the U-cup with the set screw pointing up.
Step 5: Install the bigger black plastic piece to the opposite wall where you have your other mark. Set screw doesn’t have to point up but make sure both black plastic pieces are level to each other before installing.
Step 6: Slide two rod pieces together and mount the big side into the big black plastic piece using a set screw.
Step 7: Slide and install the matching metal (full circle) cover plate onto the bigger black plastic piece and screw into wall.
Step 8: Slide small end into the smaller black plastic piece and use set screw to secure it.
Good luck! Hopefully this will save you a lot time and headache. Took us way too long to figure out but works great now.
