Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible screws, decent bracket. The screws that secure the handrail to this bracket are terrible and 1/3 of which have broken off while installing. Be prepared to use other screws. They must use the cheapest screws in china for the handrail. I pre-drilled into my oak handrail and the heads of the screws still twist off. Really cheap and frustrating. I would happily pay 25 cents more for each bracket to have a medium quality screw instead of having to drive back to HD and get different screws. The bracket itself is decent, only installed 3 weeks ago, no issues

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bracket for Hand Rail I had very good help in getting this item. I purchased 3 of them because they do sometimes break and they are hard to find. (none in Lindsay). If another one breaks, I will be prepared. There are 12 of these on our hand rails, and they get a lot of hard use, so it isn't surprising that one breaks every few years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gets the Job Done! Happy with this. Easy install, Any angle is possible due to rounded support, so you can turn down to a slope if necessary. Good strong, sturdy construction. I used with lead anchors outside for a handrail on brick. I'll give it 5 stars if it holds up for 2 years!
