Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fiberglas paneling. I used this product in ceiling of a shower enclosure. It cuts easily with a crafter tool. The glue sticks very well. This product is used mostly for walk-in coolers / freezers , dairy barns (is fire code rated) commercial kitchens and food processing areas. My renovation looks neat and professional when completed.

Had to cover inside walls of my patio. It was easy to cut with my Dremel saw. The board isn't as sturdy as you would expect but if you put it up against the wall it does hold up. One issue is don't attach screws too close to edges as it can crack or break at screw hole. Cleaning is easy and just requires a wet rag.

I want to use this as a hockey shooting board on driveway. But it is not recommended for exterior use yet is it waterproof. Does it crack when it is too cold?

    Asked by: DenisR
Hi DenisR, Great question! We say the panels are not recommended for exterior use because the resin does not include a protective UV coating. This means it will break down much more quickly and become brittle if exposed to sunlight. The panels also expand and contract with changes in temperature. In cold weather, it will contract by about 1/8 inch and become more brittle. So to answer your question, yes, it will crack more easily in colder temps. Thanks, -Stabilit Canada

how to cut outlets through this panel and how to cut panels in general

    Asked by: Bernie
Hi Bernie, The best way to cut our FRP panels with a power saw with a fine tooth blade, carbide tip blade or masonry blades. But when cutting out outlets, draw out the area in pencil and then predrill a hole to insert the blade. For small, precise cuts like this it's best to use a swivel-head shear blade. Check out Home Depot's how-to guide on FRP panels if you have any more questions. Thanks, -Stabilit Canada

Can you use a nail gun to fasten the panels?

    Asked by: Cara
Hi Cara, No the best way to install is to use FRP adhesive. You can also use nylon rivets (sold in store next to the panels). You just have to predrill the holes. Thanks, -Stabilit Canada

I am looking for a durable wall panel suitable to put directly onto cinderblock walls of a unheated basement room that leads into a basement apartment. The intention is to avoid the need to paint or otherwise finish the walls. Is this suitable?

    Asked by: Bt20
Maybe... depending on the adhesive used, and, how "flat" the wall surface is. If there are a lot of high spots or low spots... may not adhere for long. If that is the case, buy some 3/8" concrete board, and, attach that to the walls first; then the FRP... done. In my own basement laundry room, I installed DENSHIELD tile backer boards over the studs, then, the FRP. Looks GREAT.

    Can this product be routered.

    Asked by: woody
Hi Woody, Yes, we suggest flipped the panels over (textured side down) and using a carbide tipped blade to cut them. Thanks, -Stabilit Canada

Can these be installed directly on wall frame / insulation, i.e. with no other substrate?

    Asked by: Judith
Hi Judith, No, our panels must be installed over a sturdy substrate such as drywall. If not, the panels will sag and start to contour to the curves of the wooden studs underneath. Thanks, -Stabilit Canada
