Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good material and reasonable price I purchased it to cover exterior walls holes in between bricks to prevent mice entering through those. It was a good material as can be shaped easily however vertical and horizontal wires can be detached if pressed firmly. It worked for my case anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good screening It's a good screening material for under my porch decking to maintain ventilation and help prevent animals from living there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cottage mouse proofing.... Can cut this with a utility knife. Mesh is small enough to use waferboard screws to hold it in place. Used it under a cottage to keep mice out of insulation. 48" width works well with my joist spacing of 16", then screwed 1x3" strapping along all seams to sandwich the mesh.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to cut and install. I used it around my deck to prevent raccoon. Easy to cut and bend into L shape. This product can only be ordered online, the price is much cheaper than buying the 5 feet rolls in store. Tested by raccoon already,LOL. So far so good. Will see how long it can last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beat the squirrels with 23 Gauge Hardware Cloth Easy to fold and shape to cover the bulbs that the squirrels like to dig up. Also keeps the neighbour's cat from leaving presents in the flower bed. This lighter guage made a big difference in allowing me to work with the material. The heavier guage 1/2 in has been used to surround small bushes that the jackrabbits ate last year.

Assuming I install it correctly, will this cloth keep mice out of my house? Do you have any advice about how to install it? They're getting into the house via the baseboard heating system but I have some access to it.

Asked by: Shell
1/4" is perfect for keeping the mice out, but make sure to block all the small accesses. Use the wall stapler to mount it on.

Can rats chew through 23 gauge? I need to rat-proof my compost heap.

Asked by: jinalangu
Do not know about rats, but it works perfectly against our crazy urban large squirrels... I’ve installed this mesh around our outdoor plastic composting barrel they started to chew trough, they have been stopped since by the installation. Thinking of reinforcing our dumpsters containers with it...

Can I use this product to make a firescreen for a fire pit, because it is coated with zinc

Asked by: Mona
Functional wise yes you can. However, the wire is not as thick and strong as firescreen. You will need a frame to support it.
