Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice all-wood construction Good price, all-wood construction, metallic louver. Only negative : since it is generally to be installed on a hardwood floor, I would have expected the finish to be better (very rough sanding, and varnish was probably painted, not sprayed. But I resolved those two in 20 minutes (sanding, cleaning, varnish, rince and repeat) , plus drying time :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall quality could be better. The metal screen on the underside is a very poor fit and it will be difficult to use it to regulate the airflow. All 4 registers had poor fitting metal screens. The visible wood portions were well finished, so overall, I do not plan to replace them. However, for such an expensive item, I would have expected a better product.

The lip on them makes them stand out more than I want heat registers to do, and they could be a tripping hazard although no problems like that so far. Wood is nice too

what does "top mount" mean ? Is this a raised register or will it lay flush with the floor ?
