Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Great product, well made and easy to understand instructions. I had contacted their support group to inquire about extension cords and they were most helpful. Another plus is the warranty of 3 years plus it’s duel fuel!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Runs great, on gas and propain. Its loud but its also 10,000watts. Seems to run everything i need it to with out issues. No issues with breakin and when not using run it for a bit every month and dont leave old gas in it. Fires up everytime. Cant beat it for the price. As long as it lasts.

Does this generator have an automatic choke?

    Asked by: Tarponhunter
No it does not it’s manual, however I haven’t had to use the choke on propane. Not sure why. Only had to use it when it’s on gas setting.

FIRMAN H08053 = WHAT KIND OF SWITCH BOX WOULD YOU USE TO CONNECT THE GENERATOR??

    Asked by: AAAA
I don't have an answer, but a word of caution. Be sure that whatever one you choose is approved for use in Ontario. Some that are available are not approved because they do not adequately ensure against back-feeding into the Hydro grid. If you choose one that switches your main panel between hydro and your generator, be sure you either have a generator that has enough wattage to run your whole house, or be prepared to switch of power to some of your house to lower the load to something your generator can handle. Personally I prefer to switch selected circuits to the generator as required at the time of the power failure. Reliance makes some excellent transfer switches that do this. They're more expensive that the whole house switch but are much easier to use if you aren't using a whole house generator.

What's the point of the propane if it only runs 4-6 hours on a 20 l tank as opposed to 12 hours with 8 gallons of gas?

    Asked by: John
The main reason i would say for using the Propane over the Gas is Propane has a storage life that last a lot longer than Gas. LPG being Years and Gas being a few months before it turns to varnish Gum like in the Carburetor float bowl. Propane also burns cleaner and the oil will stay cleaner longer. I would agree that gas is cheaper for what you get for Kwh 's but maintenance costs down the road could out way the savings. If it's a backup thing then Propane can be stored for a longer period of time.

Will this generator run my 240 volt LP furnace, 240 volt well, as well as fridge, freezer, and some LED lights?

    Asked by: Thaylin
Yes. For peace of mind, double check how much energy your appliances use (there are many websites that help with this). That way you'll know the capacity of your generator.

est ce que elle démarre seul en cas de panne et peut on mettre un démarreur a distance

    Asked by: gervais
Non elle ne demarre pas seul et pour mettre un demarreur il faut convertir le choke manuel pour un électronique, le mieux est d’acheter une generatrice inverter avec une telecomande.

How heavy is a FIRMAN 10000/8000 Watt 120/240V 30/50A Electric Start Gas or Propane Dual Fuel Portable Generator?

    Asked by: Joni
Without fuel it is 221 pounds. It is easy to maneuver with the wheels and handle but it would be a 2 person lift otherwise as with full fuel (gasoline) it would push 270 lbs.
