Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Big Daddy of pumps I bought this pump, because one portion of my drainage system routes water from a drain in front of my garage, that sometimes has debris in it. Those debris would clog other sump pumps I tried. This one can pass 2" solids, and with 2 years of service have not had any issues. The pumping volume is also incredible. At 5 ft head, this thing will pump around 150 gallons per minute! That will keep up with basically any water flow. It is well built. The only downside, is since it's such a high volume pump, the pump itself isn't noisy, but the rapid water flow through the pipes is definitely noisy. Great pump overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty product, gets the job done! Decided to spring for the 3/4HP pump for my residential application after the old one died after 20+ years, worth it in my opinion. Pump is extremely rugged and built to last (also VERY heavy). Instructions are straight forward and easy to read. Note that the check valve should be installed either horizontally or up to a 45 degree angle. I also opted to install a 2" ball valve to help service the unit. Within about 4-5 hours of taking things slow the unit was powered and pumping as expected. This product exceeded my expectations in terms of ease of installation and quality. Don't forget to drill a 3/16" relief hole for prevent vapor lock. In addition to purchasing new check valve and ball valve also pickup the Home Depot sewage basin cover with gaskets and hardware.

I needed a sump pump, but the associate recommended this one that says 'sewage' pump on the box. I had the pump professionally installed. It lasted almost exactly two years and six months. The previous pump lasted over 18 years. I wish I knew the make and model of the old pump. Home Depot was great about the replacement. I had the box and my credit card statement, but not the actual receipt. The customer service person at the store was able to look up the transaction and based on the 5 year of this pump warranty all I had to do was bring in the pumps cord, not the whole pump. Home Depot gave me store credit equal to the original price. This time I picked a different brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty looks pretty solid Purchased a pre-foreclosure home with one of these in the basement. The old pump needed to be replaced, this is the only sewage ejector pump sold at my home depot. When I un-boxed this black cast iron beauty it was heavy and felt like it was ready to handle anything. Nothing about it felt cheap. We put it in the sump hole and filled it with water to test it. When that thing turned on it scared the be-jeezus out of us because it pumped the water out so fast that the water sounded like it shot up the drain pipe. We were not expecting that at all, we were thinking it would be a nice slow pump. Definitely worked right out of the box and pumps water QUICK. Hope it will last many years. Like the other review said, the pump itself isn't noisy, but all that water moving from Point A to Point B is definitely audible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not all it;s cracked up to be. For a 3/4 HP Professional Sewage Pump you would think it would last for more than 6 months. Installed very easy and was quiet. Started noticing that the unit was wining. Removed the pump and checked for clogs or something interfering with the impellor. Nothing found. Turned the unit on and it would not start correctly. Seems like it is the shaft or bearings. There is only one bath that is hooked up to the pump. Went to Home Depot to switch it out and reinstall the new one. Time will tell.

First a wipe got stuck, and then it got stuck from hair. This 3/4 horsepower is not that strong I guess. If you're sure that no stringy things will get into the sewer, then this should be good.

The people at Home Depot were easy to work with to get this pump replaced. Now Home Depot is discontinuing this model pump Good Luck . on getting it replaced the next time it goes out.
