Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will break when temps get below -20c Do not buy. Very poor quality. They break internally when cold winter temps arrive. First 1 broke last winter and got a replacement and now this winter the replacement just broke. The weak metal shatters in the cold and then you can’t get in or out of your house.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No longer works as a means to get out of the house I wrote a review last year but since the lock is no longer working, I can't seem to update my review. A year and one week after installation, the lock is no longer working. It's locking us in the house but it can be opened from the outside. We have to remove the battery plate, undo screws and move it around and fidget with it in a locked position and turning the handle upwards to get it to let us out. I've bought a new lock by a different manufacturer from a different store to use. I saw that this lock has a 5 year warranty on the mechanism. *IF* the manufacturer will actually honour it and fix or replace it, we'll be installing it on a door that is rarely ever used. The original review: Works as a lock - bad batteries, bad cust. service I received this lock Aug. 31/17 and installed it Sept. 9th. The lock works, but the remotes received were shipped with batteries that do not work. I pulled the tabs in them to activate them and they were dead. I emailed Home Depot on Sept. 10th and 2 days later they instructed me to contact the manufacturer (Gree Canada aka Sunrise Tradex Corp). I contacted Gree the same day and explained the battery situation, and was told to go buy batteries in their response. On the 13th, I replied telling them that they sent the remotes with defective batteries and they didn't respond after that. I followed up with Home Depot to let them know about it, they apologized and told me to go buy batteries for it. I had also noticed a small amount of white powder on both the batteries. I'm not sure if this is acid or not. I have half a mind to return the lock and have 90 days from purchase to do so. Either way, when it comes time to buy a lock for our front door, I will not be going with this manufacturer. If they won't do something as simple as send out new remote batteries when the lock is brand new, in my mind, they likely won't be doing anything if something goes wrong with the lock. Note: If you want to delete 1 code from the lock, the only instructions in the manual is to delete all of them. Then you have to reprogram all codes. We have an electronic lock at our primary residence by Weiser that is much more user friendly in this manner and will allow you to delete individual codes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lock I was looking for a replacement silver model which is no longer available to replace an existing defective one. So I bought a brass one and used the electronic circuit boards in my used silver lock. Works perfect.

what does the inside handle look like and can you order a right handle

Asked by: Inky
There's no need to order another handle. It is very easy to reverse the handle by simplying loosening one screw, rotating it to the side you want and then tighteting the screw again. Took me 1 minute.
