These are great for helping to straighten out twisted boards, as once you attach one side, the nails can simply be hammered further and further down without coming out. You get the shear strength of a nail and practically the tensile strength of a [shorter] screw. There were no feed issues in the gun; the coating helps lubricate its way into the wood. If hammering, then the first half goes in smoother than the latter half due to this, and ring-shanks take FAR more effort than smooth-shanks to drive, meaning you must be more careful to center the head so as not to bend a nail . . . you do NOT want to pull these things out! -Might as well snip them off. Though it doesn't matter when shot through a gun, it's nice that the first half of the nail has a yellow tint to it: this helps identify the depth of a single board (1.5 inches) so that nails can be pre-driven into the first board before hammering them onto the second board. This makes for accurate framing. With this said, the half-way mark is also the deciding factor for how hard it is to rip out the nail. I remember my days as an inexperienced pole builder, accidentally using ring-shank instead of smooth-shank; when it came time to remove the boards I was the center of attention. (Dewalt and Freeman) Keeping the nailers properly cleaned and lubricated, I had no misfires or mis-feeds. The nails are a high quality, full head, rink shanked and galvanized. They come in strips of 25. I've finished two deck and one framing project with these nails so I've used almost 4,000 of them (2 boxes) They are of high quality and great value for the money. I highly recommend this product and was completely satisfied with its usage. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have a Husky framing nailer the requires the 21-degree nails. I’ve used different lengths of this brand for other jobs and have not had a problem in the past with using Freeman nails in my Husky nailer. I’m starting a new garage and needed to stock up on this length nail, so I just ordered on-line and had them shipped to the store. I wish they would stock them in the store.
