Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sharp bit Works great in my plunge router to cutting deep into wood and cleaning shavings out of the hole leaving a very smooth cut. Spiral bits will always cost more than single or double flute bits but these are worth it for leaving good finishes and no chatter. This bit won't come packaged in the usual red and black case that is great for storage and bit protection unfortunately.

Bought specifically for use with my dado jig and worked exactly as expected. I've also used it in the router table to cut rabbet joints in some oak for shelves and did a great job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke within 10 minutes of normal use On white oak plunging a 1" deep hole....in 10 minutes one cutting tooth snapped off. The router's collet was tight and the bit hadn't slipped. I normally think very highly of Freud. But this one was a total fail. Replaced it with a Whiteside bit of same description and (surprisingly) less cost....and that was a total success. I will attempt a local store return.
