Due to the pandemic caused urgency to stay at home and to only grocery shop when absolutely necessary we decided to purchase a freezer, an upright freezer that would be aesthetically pleasing to the eye due to the location in our open concept condo. We have to say that this upright is not only pleasing to the eye in brush stainless steel but it also works extremely well, keeps the food frozen, is amazingly quiet and the design of both the exterior and the interior are simplification at it's finest. Did I mention frost free? Did I mention the price point was amazing as well? This is one amazing freezer Frigidaire, well done!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT frost free! This freezer was just delivered on 12/26/20. We transferred frozen food from our chest freezer to it and left it closed for 24 hrs. By the next day it had accumulated a surprising amount of frost in the top half of the freezer. We were shocked and brushed off/removed as much as we could, chalking it up to condensation that had melted during the transfer. It's now been closed for several more days and I opened it this morning to find another alarming sight! This is definitely NOT frost free and I am looking for advice on how to proceed.

This is our first upright, always had a chest freezer. Like this one a lot better, alot easier to keep organized. We have had a lot of Frigidaire products over the years, and this is like the rest, QUALITY was the first thing to go into it. Would recommend this and any of the Frigidaire family products.

It's kept in the garage (naturally) and lately we spent a lot of time scraping ice and bleaching mildew off it. We cleared some space and took the plunge on this upright. To be honest we chose this one because it was the only one available in our price range and online reviews were favorable. We have had it for 2 weeks and yesterday my wife said "I really like the new freezer. It's so easy to find what you want". So for all you chest freezer dumpster divers out there, take the plunge, if you can, and purchase one of these. You won't regret it.

I needed a freezer that was no larger than 28” wide, had a reversible door and a brushed steel finish. This fit the bill perfectly. Contrary to what the other reviews said, the door reverses easily; it took about 20 minutes to do. This is also the largest capacity narrow freezer that I could find anywhere. It works great so far, looks great and the quality is awesome for a freezer at this price point. I also love the LED that shines onto the floor to let you know the freezer is working. I am very happy with this purchase.

It is the most practical freezer ever. Perfect size. You can reach and see the food easily since it isn’t too deep, and at the same time it is big enough to store plenty of food. I used to unpack many of the food packages (the ones that come individually wrapped) in order to fit them in my fridge’s bottom drawer freezer, I don’t have to do that anymore. It has 4 shelves and a basket. And also many in the door. You can decide if you want the door to be opened from the right or left. Pretty convenient feature. So easy to clean too.

We plugged this unit in and less than 24 hours later it was very frosty and snowy inside. BIG disappointment!!! If this issue is a result of having them reverse the door, perhaps Frigidaire should not market it as having a reversible door. I will be calling the local store to return this junk.

When we went through the "troubleshoot" checklist, it still did not prevent the frost from building up. When we turned the temperature down, it thawed everything out. So now we keep getting build-up of frost.

Hello, Tracie3101. Great question! While I have not seen this complain, I do recommend making sure to use the full shelf. Meaning, not gathering your items on one side or in the middle of the shelf. Ensure to store your item evenly across the length and wide of the shelf. This will help to maintain balance on the shelf. -R'Shaye

How many pounds of beef will this hold?

Realizing the density of beef varies sinificantly depending on wether bones are included, I estimate that you could store about 1000 lbs of beef in a 16 cubic foot freezer. This answere does not include packagin which may make a difference to present freezer buern. Also since cutting is not regular, spacing will not be perfect.
