I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE WHIRLPOOL 10.7 CU. FT. !! IT'S AMAZING HOW MUCH DIFFERENCE .7 CU. FT. MAKES IN STORAGE! JUST A MUCH BETTER SET UP & IT EASILY FIT INTO MY RV KITCHEN. I STRONGLY SUGGEST GETTING THE PROTECTION PACKAGE! I DID NOT RESULTING IN MY PURCHASE OF THE WHIRLPOOL BUT MUCH HAPPIER WITH THIS PURCHASE SO IT WAS WORTH THE LESSON LEARNED. THE FRIGIDAIRE WAS STILL WITHIN THE 1 YEAR WARRANTEE BUT IT'LL TAKE 3 WEEKS FOR A REPAIRMAN TO COME OUT! REFRIGERATION IS IMPARITIVE, ESPCIALLY IN THE SUMMER. GO WHIRLPOOL!!! BOO FRIGIDAIRE!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this fridge for the mancave and for extra stuff that I can't fit in my main fridge, which is tiny (smaller than this one!). It works like a charm and I love the way it opens - no obnoxious handles sticking out, just grooves to grab hold of and pull. It fits easily through doorways and was a breeze to get to its final space. Prep was easy - just peel off the protective plastic/tape and plug it in! There are a couple spots that the plastic got stuck and seems impossible to get out, but it's not a bother. If someone happens to see it and pull at it, I wish them well on getting it out!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Refrigerator Doesn't Get Cold Enough i bought this refrigerator a month ago. The refrigerator section does not get cold enough- only 38 to 43 degrees, even at the "maximum cold" setting. I have thermometers in both the refrigerator and the freezer sections. When I first turn on the unit, it takes about two and a half hours to reach its lowest temperatures: 35 degrees in the refrigerator (max cold setting) and -9 degrees in the freezer (middle setting). The compressor then shuts off. The temperatures then rise into these ranges as the unit cycles on and off: Refrigerator: 38 to 43 degrees Freezer: -3 to 6 degrees The FDA recommends a maximum refrigerator temperature of 40 degrees, with an optimum range of 36 to 38 degrees. This unit does not meet those recommendations.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Stay Cool Enough [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge a month ago and it does not stay cool enough. I was told to put it on the optimal middle setting. I let it cool for 24 hours and then put in a thermometer. I then let it cool for another 24 hours. It was at 50 degrees, hardly optimal. I tried the lowest, “Cold,” setting and the temperature was 54 degrees. Then I tried the, “Coldest,” setting and it was 48 degrees. None of these are acceptable refrigerator temperatures. I even tried turning the freezer up to the maximum setting to see if that would help. It did not.

I was looking to replace the old, loud fridge in a tiny, 400sf condo and this fit the bill perfectly. I wanted something compact, and most importantly, quiet, as the kitchen/bedroom/living areas are one room. Have had it about a month and am very happy with the purchase. I can barely hear it running when the condo is quiet, and can't hear it at all when music or TV are on. I bought separate thermometers to put in the fridge & freezer to gauge temperature, and both are operating at proper levels. I also purchased the 5 year extended warranty in case there are any problems down the road.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a suggestion [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you're getting the fridfge ready to ship, It takes the same effort to put the two glass shelves right next to each other (as mine came from the factory) or at a logical distance, more or less the logical, standard height they would be used at. You may argue that customers can easily change that, and you'd be wrong. The door needs to open at a 120 degree angle for that. Compact, apartment fridges fit in spaces where the door will only open 70 or 80 degrees. You might think we can figure this out before we put the fridge in its definitive place, but because fridges are replaced after many years, we forget this and don't!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice design, attractive but ... I bought this frig for our garage. In summer it is always around 80 degrees in the garage. The frig cannot keep things as cold as I would like. We don't open it more than once a day but it is never very cold inside. Also, the top shelf inside the door has twice fallen down and spilled all the jars and bottles into the frig. This blocked me from opening the door. Had to get long tongs to move bottles around through the 6" opening. Got the bottles pushed back and the door opened but then it happened a 2nd time. If it happens again I will ask to return it.

New unit delivered June 26. 20 days later freezer started frosting up, found I couldn’t budge the temperature control knob to bring it down; then the refrigerator got room temp 2 days later, which we noticed on a Friday evening… Home Depot doesn’t provide service, (understandably I suppose) but the manufacturer which does support this is closed on weekends, leaving me with a refrigerator full of spoiled food and a household of kids I now have to figure out how to feed all weekend. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS AT ALL.

My 4 year old Frigidaire 10 CF - FFET 1022QW freezer just died. The light inside the fridge works. I have not seen any troubleshooting tips to fix this? Any help greatly appreciated!
Asked by: DS
I had this exact same thing happen to me last week (Jan 12, 2021). My fridge was 3.5 years old. It started to make a high pitched whining sound in the freezer and then would not cool. The lights were on in the fridge but the controls would not work. Had a repair guy come out to check it. Seems like the control panel was damaged. The part would cost $190. Due to the whining noise in the fridge, he thought the fan mechanism might also have died - another $130ish for the part. With labor and tax, the repairs would probably cost me about $400-500. I did not have the extended warranty. I opted to buy an new one. Unfortunately they are backordered and won't be delivered for 3 weeks. Thank goodness for the garage fridge - move over beer!!

Will the refrigerator be installed free of charge? During checkout, there is option to choose - Yes, please have it up and running for me But this will cost $17.28 for 12' Upgraded Braided Water Line, which isn't needed for this refrigerator
Asked by: Helen
Hello Helen, You won't need to add the water line for installation. Don't worry about checking that box saying you would like to have it up and running. This will still be installed once delivered since this does not require a water line. Thank you for choosing The Home Depot.

Hinges are on right side, but comes with the left side set. And the delivery crew can do this quickly. Or you yourself. The manual is thorough and everything is well designed.

How many watts does this use

Asked by: Clee
This unit uses about 33 Watts. A watt, expressed as W, is a measure of power while a kilowatt-hour is a measure of energy equivalent to 1,000 watt-hours, or 1,000 watts of power for 1 hour. So, to convert kilowatt-hours to watts, multiply the energy in kilowatt-hours by 1,000 to find the energy in watt-hours, then divide by the time in hours. 1 kilowatt hour / year = 0.114079553 watts Energy Consumption (kWh/year) for this unit as state in the specs is 296. 296 KWh/y X .0.114079553 = 33.77 Watts You can also use the calculator at the following link to confirm. Remember to use the number of hours in 1 year (365.25 x 24 = 8.8766) because the energy rating in the specs is given as Kilowatt hours per year. https://www.inchcalculator.com/kwh-to-watts-calculator/ People shouldn't answer questions unless they know what they are talking about! Hello. I want to change the door opening side. DonI need to buy reverse hinge bracket?
Asked by: Marielle
If it says you can change the door opening side, there are no other parts. The hinge parts that hold it to the side its on now, you will remove and flip upside down and use to put on the other side by taking off the little white screw hole caps that are on the opposite side you want the hings on, out, and put those in the screw holes that will be left open after switching the hinge parts to the other side. They plug the unused screw holes to finish it off so it doesnt look crappy
