Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrendous - buy at own peril I bought this dishwasher in March 2017 with the understanding that it was premium range and had reliable service in case the device failed. I was also sold a 4 year warranty which I took for assurance. I wasn't impressed by the cleaning of dishes or the length of cycle (superlong). In October it failed. I live in a household of 4 and so it wasn't used "heavy duty style". Then the real nightmare started - the phoning for repairmen to come and assess the machine, then ordering of futile parts and the very poor support from Electrolux customer engagement centre makes this ordeal continue 6 weeks on. Don't buy this dishwasher. Don't buy any Electrolux product which includes Frigidaire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super loading capacity We bought this dishwasher in August 2017 and I'm super happy with it. It's got a loading configuration that allows about twice as many dishes than my previous model did. It's also quiet enough that I'm no longer concerned about having it running when we have guests, or my husband and I are simply trying to have a conversation in the great room nearby. It does take what appears to be quite a long time to run through a regular cycle (about 2.5 hrs), so be aware of this. However, you can open the door to see how much longer it has to run, and there's a very convenient green light that shines on the floor when it's finished. We've bought a new house and are replacing appliances, and this will be our dishwasher. Great value, especially for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointed - should have read the reviews! I have owned this dishwasher for two days and already I am very disappointed in my selection. I purchased the Fridgidaire Gallery brand because I was told it was high quality. While I like the sleek and modern appearance of the dishwasher - it's really how it functions that counts. The interior parts in the dishwasher are cheap and flimsy. It's a tug of war getting the lower rack in and out - it does not move smoothly & constantly comes off the track. The upper rack is also very flimsy. My second complaint has to do with drying - the dishes are wet at the end of the cyle. I am saddened that I didn't inspect the interior of this dishwasher more closely before choosing this brand - I also should have read the reviews, because many purchasers shared the same issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't clean! Both my son and I have the same dishwasher and neither of us are satisfied with the cleaning power. I have to rinse the dishes clean - totally clean before putting in the dishwasher, otherwise they do not come clean. I've tried different detergents, I've tried different settings, nothing makes a difference. My son stopped using his and just washes by hand as you have to practically do that anyway. I do NOT recommend this particular dishwasher.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Space design Hard one similar years ago and the feature they removed is one I miss. The tines on the bottom rack are too close together only suitable for plates, whereas the older model had one row that folded over to accommodate wider items like fry pans, etc. Most people do have more than plates, cups, glasses and cutlery to put in their dishwasher and this does not have too many allowances for odd shaped items. Otherwise works as expected.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design TL:DR Frigidaire dishwasher FGID2474 requires expensive repair after 1st year. A few months after the 1 Year mark the machine drain pump wouldn't turn off. I flipped the breaker and things went back to normal for about 2 months, then it started again but this time flipping the breaker didn't help. I'm not a fan of calling repairmen for a relatively new appliance so I googled the problem. Took a few hours to find out that the drain sensor was plugged up. I tried to contact Frigidaire but didn't get any type of response. I spent an afternoon pulling out the dishwasher and cleaning the sensor myself. Put it all back together and it was working fine for about 5 months the problem came back so upon further internet research I found out that they redesigned the sensor. Now when a serviceman comes he replaces the old sensor a newly designed one. I felt that this meant improper manufacturing and that I could get Frigidaire to send me a new sensor free of charge (they were the ones that put the poorly designed sensor in to begin with). But after a week of trying to get in contact with someone I was informed that because the dishwasher was older than 1 year it was no longer a warranty issue and not their problem. They built a dishwasher with a bad sensor, then redesigned the sensor when problems arose and actually charge customers for the replacement sensor to fix the problem. Oh, and the redesign was a little plastic clip that creates an air trap preventing grease from clogging the sensor. this plastic clip is sold with a new sensor...which is 100$. Online some people are paying over 300$ for this repair. The first year was good but a $750 dishwasher should last longer than that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Drying Problem Washes the dishes fine, is very quiet but does not dry dishes as well as the old dishwasher did. If that is a deal breaker to you I would not recommend this model. Also, installing the unit is a bit of a problem due to the hard plastic at the bottom of the dishwasher which requires more room for the hoses. You need to allow for extra space at the rear of the unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Consider something else.............. After 12 years with a very basic contractor grade dishwasher, it was time for an upgrade. When speaking with an associate at Home Depot, they told me that I was likely to get 5-7 years out of a dishwasher and that all brands are pretty much the same with most people were shying away from Samsung. With only a few options in the store, I was directed to look online where there were many more options. I settled on this Frigidaire model because it was in my price range (<$1000) and it had the highest rating, 4.3* based on the reviews (1200+ 5* and 100 1*). Within 1 week of ordering, it arrived and was installed. Within 1 week of usage, we already had "i20" error code for a clogged filter. There was a fork that had fallen out of the utensil holder and was lying on top of the filter that caused the error. Side note I had never even cleaned my filter in 12 years on my other dishwasher. After the fork was put back in the holder, the error code cleared and the cycle was finished. In week 2, we had error code "i20" again. This time, the water was not draining and pooling in the bottom pan. The manual said either the filter was clogged or the drain hose was kinked/blocked. Both were checked and no issue was found. Ended up running a rinse cycle and the water drained immediately. In week 3, we received error code "i30" and the water in the pan overflowed and leaked on to my kitchen floor. Again, checked all of items the manual said and everything appeared to be clear. This time I was unable to cancel the "i30" error (by holding the cancel button for 3 seconds) or by turning off my breaker. The code remained and you could hear the pump trying to run. Ended up calling Frigidaire and they set me up with a service visit, which was 1 week later. The technician found tiny bits of onion in the one sensor which has caused the error code. We generally scrape everything off of our plates and do a quick rinse before putting our dishes in the dishwasher. The sensor is very sensitive. The technician suggest that I do a full rinse of my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. I never did this with my old dishwasher and never had any issues with clogging. I went back to the Home Depot website and found out that you are unable to return major appliances, so I guess I am stuck with this thing for 5-7 years. I feel like I am out $1000 and have zero recourse. Would like to point out some Pros and Cons of this mahcine Pros: -very quiet -stainless steel Cons: -filter -very sensitive sensors -2+ hour cycles -trays are flimsy and don't go in and out smoothly -utensil holder holes aren't large enough -cheap plastic parts Overall I would not recommend this machine. I am in constant fear of an error code and check it multiple times per cycle to make sure it's still running. I wish I could return it and try something else.
