The 5-Stage Q5 PLATINUM Turbine produces approximately 9.5 psi. Incorporated into its design is a proprietary Heat Dissipation Chamber (HDC). The HDC expels excess heat from the turbine for cooler operating temperatures. The Q5 Turbine also features a Speed Control Dial, to slow down the speed of the motor for a less psi output to reduce overspray. Supplied with the Fuji T-75G Non-bleed Spray Gun with Pattern Control Knob - the fan size is adjustable from small to large and everything in between. The Fuji T-75G is also equipped with a 600cc Cup, 1.3mm standard Air Cap Set for fine finishing - lacquers, polyurethanes, water-based coatings and more. Heavy-duty metal case with Gun Holder. Complete system includes the Q5 PLATINUM Turbine, T-Model Spray Gun, 25 ft. Hose, Viscosity Cup, Wrench, and the 5-for-5 Bonus Kit which consists of a 6ft. Whip Hose, Wet Film Gauge, 19-pc Spray Gun Cleaning Kit, Extra Turbine Filter, and Always Measure Booklet - Record material preparation/results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Q5 Platinum Paint Sprayer I received my order of the Q5 Platinum paint sprayer today. Shipping was super fast and well packaged to protect it during shipping. I unboxed and inspected it. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the spray gun and the turbine. Extremely well built. Kit came with extra 6 foot hose that connects between spray gun and main hose that is more flexible than the main hose. Also included a cleaning kit with any brush you would ever need to clean spray gun. Manual included has clear instructions and troubleshooting guides. I have not actually used the sprayer to review how well it works but expect great results from the research I did prior to purchasing.

Value: When you consider buying an air compressor, line dryer, oil filter and electrical wiring, owning one of these becomes really affordable. Of course you could argue that you would use this for all your air tools but now I do not need a big air compressor in my garage and if you are like me and limited on space, this stows away easily. Utility: This gun will paint pretty much anything I need including furniture, cabinets, doors, and metal projects. Quality: This is a quality spray gun. The Q5 Platinum is also quiet. Everything is made of metal. The hose is long enough for most projects. Expectations: Meets and exceed expectations Shipping: Shipped in a timely manor for me Owned: One week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great System Moved up from an airless sprayer to the Q5 Platinum HVLP for cabinet, furniture, doors and trim work. My airless sprayer is now delegated solely to interior and exterior walls, larger areas that are painted with latex, where it does a very good job. The Q5 really excels giving a superior finish using lacquer, stains, alkyd that leaves people noticing the quality. Additionally, the cleanup is quick, easy and wastes very little if any of the product being sprayed. I can save unused paint and finished from my projects just by placing a cap on the spray cup. Believe me when I say the Q5 does a great job, is versatile enough to spray just about any finish while taking only minutes to clean after use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great HVLP turbine! I purchased this model after considerable research on different HVLP systems. My previous system was a 2 stage turbine from a different manufacturer but I needed a more powerful system. I'm renovating our kitchen and have over 50 doors and drawer fronts that will need finishing. I wanted to spray primer and tinted waterborne lacquer so I knew I required a 4 or 5 stage unit as I will also be spraying some latex in the future. The Q5 lays down the finish great with minimal thinning as it is so powerful. Still learning how to fine tune adjustments and settings but system is very forgiving. Product support is fantastic, always someone to talk to, plenty of on line tutorials plus Fuji is a Canadian company. Quality product from a quality company.

I was able to get a factory finish using a water-based tinted coating and it looks beautiful. Getting the adjustments right is a learning process, but out of the box with a bit of trial and error, my results were better than anything Ive done before. Its very powerful, so start with the dial turned back!

Most of what I’ll do is thinner finishes for woodwork so its nice to be able to turn down the speed when I dont need all the power but still have it on tap for heavier materials like latex.

I probably would have been happy with a 3 stage, but saved up and got the Q5. Boy am I happy I did. I found packaging was thoughtful on how a user would get things out. There were no instructions that I could find for hookup, but I realized it was straightforward and probably unnecessary. Setup took about 5 minutes, and then I was off to the races. Impressed that there was a second filter included as well. Fantastic system!

I've had good results with this unit spraying various things using single stage, base-clear, flats, and pearls. the quality of Fuji5 Quantum is top notch compared to some other units on the market and ready to go right out of the box. I have a compressed air system that I still use for some things, but the Fuji does a better job and has proved to be reliable, convenient, and QUIET! The ability to take the sprayer off site is also a plus.

Can this unit be used with shellac based primers/sealers

Yes the Q5 Platinum is capable of spraying shellac based primers and sealers. A 1.5mm or 1.8mm air cap set may be required for this material to achieve optimal atomization.

With all HVLP systems, thinning will be required. Upwards of 20% can be expected. Consider using a 1.5mm or 1.8mm air cap set as well for optimal atomization.
