The microwave is 700 watts so it has the necessary power to cook food. Since I'm not a very good cook, I use microwaves all the time. I need them to be sturdy, reliable, and be powerful. I hate waiting long for my food to cook or defrost. This microwave is powerful enough that it cooks and defrosts perfectly. I love the retro style. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a retro style for your kitchen and a powerful counter top microwave, that handles all types of cooking and defrosting.

I love the way it looks and even more I love the name which is Hot Rod Red. The function of the microwave is simple and easy to use. Due to the size it does take a bit longer to heat food, which is to be expected compared to a larger unit. The only con I have is the beeping. Every time the knob is turned it beeps. So, by turning the knob the microwave adds 30 second increments, so to microwave something for a longer time it beeps a lot. Overall, the product is perfect for anyone who likes unique items and is great for small spaces such as dorm rooms or apartments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish Microwave that Heats Quickly [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galanz Retro Microwave Oven, 0.7 Cubic Feet, 700 Watts is a nice looking microwave that heats quickly and is simple to use. I'm very happy with the way it looks in our contemporary kitchen. The instructions are well written and easy to follow. I suggest reading the instructions as I was not able set the clock set and figure out how to use the oven without reading them first. Although this microwave is smaller than most (0.7 Cu FT), it still fits our full size dinner plates that have a 10.5" diameter. The 700 watts of power is sufficient to heat my coffee or plate of leftovers quickly. I would recommend this microwave to my friends and family.

It is like may other microwaves out there but it succeeds in not only looks but also its performance. I had an old microwave and it would always splash food everywhere. It was almost as if it was way too hot even tho it said average. I’ve had this problem with almost all if not all of the microwaves I’ve had in the past. That is not the case for this retro microwave. It really did exceed my expectations and I find it’s performance to be awesome. I also found it to be the perfects size. Not too big and not too small. I recommended and give it an 11/10

It adds a touch of old day feel mixed with modern technology. It is simple with a one touch menu and has adjustable power levels with time and weight for defrosting foods. You can set your time or just push the knob for desired time. (Each push is 30 seconds) It has a cancel button and has a LED screen so you can see how much time you have. It also has a programmable clock and a pull handle to open and close.The turntable is 10" so it is big enough for reheating leftovers and drinks and making popcorn is simple and perfect for the kids to use. I absolutely love the color red! It really adds style and draws your attention. Super cool!

I have to say that I'm impressed. I have never heard of the brand Galanz so I was a little skeptical but turns out it works great. The microwave has 6 power levels and the defrost setting. It heats up really well. It came in the color red which fits perfectly in my apple themed kitchen. The microwave is small so it doesnt take a lot of counter space which is a plus for me. I love it so far. I recommend it.
