Rated 1 out of 5 by from They keep breaking! I've gone through 3 of these. Two of the blades cracked after about a year. On the third one, the handle cracked and fell off. Garant has a smaller, yellow plastic shovel with a metal edge that works OK, but I don't want to use a metal edge shovel on my cedar deck or flat roof. I have other plastic snow shovels that have lasted for years, but these crack in the cold. (I live in southern Ontario so it isn't really cold by Canadian standards.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handles and blades crack and fall off I love the shovel, but this is the 2nd shovel That crack or break they do not last 1 year. I do not have a huge drive way to clear . The shovel and 21 inch snow shovel. plastic must be of very cheap plastic.handle and blade Badly cracked . I don't have my bills or I would return seeing that there is a 1year warranty . Maybe I will try to call the company .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome shovel!!!!! Quick note. Where I work we have to remove alot of snow from Nov to Mar. This little beauty is part of our shovel collection. It happens to be the old one. Lots of updated new fancy shovels and a snowblower are part of our snow removing equipment. This shovel is usually forgotten and out of the way. One day I tried it because it was handy to me. Imagine my surprise when the shovel started "doing the work for me" . It behaved like a mini plow right in my hands. I found myself zipping all over the place just to watch the snow roll away from the shovel like an actual plow. I completed my whole area in less time and less effort then ever before, with the one exception of using the snowblower for three-four feet we had after a snowstorm. I prefer this "old timer" as it's referred to, to all the updated new fancy shovels we have. Some think I am crazy because it's old and weathered and chewed up along the edge but ya know what? it still works like a champ. Try it, you won't believe it till you see for yourself. My son is a shovel user. when I told him about this, he said definitely get us one! You bet I will. thanks Bonnie

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 21" Nordic Snow Shovel I didn't have much expectations about this shovel when I bought it on a whim while it was on sale but it has really surpassed my expectations. It's so lightweight yet so effective in moving snow that it almost makes the task of removing snow effortless. As of now, I've only used in fluffy snow. I'm not sure how it would fair in a wet or heavier type but for a typical snowfall, it's fabulous. It is a little short in width so it will take you a little longer than if you were using say a 26" shovel. Build wise seems decent but the section where the blade attaches to the handle was slightly loose. I tightened the screw up and all seems good for now. For the price, I think it's a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice shovel I generally buy 2 of these every year as I wear them out. Nice size, not too big and not too small. They stand up to pretty heavy use and abuse, don't flex like some cheaper ones do and the snow doesn't stick. I prefer these to the ones with the "wear" strip as they seem to continue working until worn to a nub.

I have a bad back, and this does not require me to lift the snow. It scrapes off the snow at just the right angle. Wooden handle is not as cold as a steel handle. The width is also just right, too wide makes it too difficult to push.

Galant, why can’t you make these shovels out of a material that doesn’t wear out after one season of use?  Oh, I think I know why!
