    Model # GET-4220K Store SKU # 1000456048

The GET-4220K is an innovated LAN tracker that traces unenergized, installed wires or cables, and can distinguish between multiple wire terminations. Application specific plugs are built into the transmitter to easily connect to coaxial cables, telephone wiring, Cat. 5 data cables, unenergized electrical wiring or automotive wiring. The transmitter is a compact, hand-held instrument designed to generate a distinct tone in any unenergized wire or cable. This tone can be picked up with the LAN Tracker(TM) receiver. An LED acts as a visual indicator to show the unit is on. The receiver is a portable hand-held inductive tracer that will aid in identification of wires without piercing their insulation. The streamlined, Probe-Type case design allows for better access in tight, hard-to-get-at areas. Rubber overmoulding ensures a comfortable, slip-free grip. Receiver and transmitter can not be sold separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product for tracking wire behind drywall I bought this for tracking wires inside drywall. I have a door intercom systems installed by previous house owner long time ago and is not used anymore. I want to install a new video door bell system and reuse the existing wires. By using this tool, I can tracking the wires path from out side of drywall. the receiver is very sensitive and reliable. It is very useful to have one at home. One thing needs to improve: battery installation polarity is not marked clearly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty unit! The first day after purchasing this tester it worked great. I was able to track cables directly through the walls. Although on the second day trying to use the product it did not work at all. I changed all the batteries with expensive Duracell batteries and still nothing. So today I opened the unit open (Very few components on circuit board), hooked to an oscilloscope, and after thoroughly testing there is indeed zero output frequency. The unit is dead! My initial worries about purchasing such a unit at Homedepot are confirmed. Waste of money. Very disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK for LAN, fails for electrical wiring Traced some network cable runs of over 600 feet without issue, but with house wiring ( 14 gauge ) even runs of less than 60 feet would not get a signal - even with receiver touching the de-energized wire at the breaker box. Would use for network/phone cabling but not to trace electrical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! I have been using this for 5+ years. Only ever had to change the batteries. Works great, has no problems. I trace network wires, audio wires, video wires, etc. All through house, work, and cars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GB GET-4110T is a toy not a tool This "wire tracker" is barely able to track a wire stretched out on the ground. Not useful for installed wiring that routes back to a panel. I should have known, given the price, as wire tracking tools that really work (such as are available at commercial electrical supply companies) are about $900 or more, depending on features. So, I hired an electrician for an hour to trace wires, who had a real wire tracking tool as part of his standard toolkit. Don't waste your time with this GET-4110T, unless you enjoy frustration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tool I bought this tool to track phone cables in my house. Works as advertised and works very well. I was able to track all my cables. Good value for the functions it provides.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money!!! I have never used a tracer as poor as this one. I could not even trace any type of wire further then 5 feet. I read the instruction inside and out and still had poor results. This product wasted my time and money on a simple job causing more of a headache then a solution. Home Depot should take it off their shelves.
